Good for him getting his dick wet, I hope they both get STDs and suffer greatly from it. I really hate those "hard to get"-scenarios. Just fucking admit you like each other.

well, the whole point here is that they try to get the other to say it first, like a game of romantic chicken. and usually once they get together the tension (and most of the fun) is gone, where it can either end with a happy end soon after or get dragged out so long people are glad when it's put out of it's misery. either way things are gonna change one way or another.

Their pure waifu would never even so much as hold hands with a boy, she's too pure for that. Sex is right out. It ruins their immersion, since no woman has ever willingly wanted to have sex with them.

I feel the same about people who look at Mushoten and don't like how Rudy's a bit of a horn dog. It's like they've never been ten and suddenly discovered that girls aren't so bad. He gets a harem or something by the end? Good, he's a big damn hero, isn't he? Good guys like to get laid too. Just take the Tenshi option and marry all of them.

I may be biased though, I prefered the Tomoyo ending of Clannad over the sad girl sick with mangaitis. Not every romcom has to be Ah! My Goddess. Poor Bell.
There's also the fact that very few times where romcom readers end up liking the MC, I swear most of the time they either complain that the MC is just a blank slate or complain he has a horribly personality if he's given one.
I remember asking awhile ago just for shits and giggles asking if there was any romcoms where they actually liked the MC and not just suffering him so they can see best girl win the "mc-bowl" and did get a few genuine responses (though sadly most where series I already read), but most where shitpost replies as expected.

After Nagatoro, another chocolate-skinned manga girl featured in smug memes may soon be getting an anime: an anime domain has been registered for Wakame Konbu's Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated).

Another Gangan Joker manga that also just had an anime domain registered is The Case Study of Vanitas by Mochizuki Jun. I'm not familiar with that one.

For once I'm glad I'm into korean webtoons since Batoto is still kicking and has a lot of them there. I don't have the energy to join a bunch of different discords to follow releases so I'm probably just going to take a break from most releases until it comes back up and I'll have a bunch of chapters to enjoy. Maybe I'll actually read through some of the physical releases I've bought over the years and haven't read, they should last me a bit.
Yeah I've been finding some pretty good Korean webtoons recently. I remember refraining from them years ago, but actually found some good ones so far. My recommend from the ones I've read so far is No Home by Wanan, where starts out about a boy running from home and clashing with another weird boy who lives in a worn tent to becoming a full on arc series telling tales of high schoolers with childhood trauma or problems growing up. Has right amount of comedy and drama for me and one of few series than can make a character that was hated at the start become one of the most understanding and loved characters by fans the more you read through.

Finally, Jahy gets one.

Nichijou worth a look? Heard its Azumanga on acid

It's absurdist comedy mixed with slice-of-life. Azumanga Daioh had some absurdist segments, like any dream sequence with "Chiyo's Father" or that one segment with the girls playing in the clouds (played more for nostalgia than comedy), but Nichijou is pretty much wall-to-wall absurdist.

Glass Mask has ensnared me into its trap today.

It's such a dramatic piece and very shoujo (think it's helped set the standard for shoujo series), but holy cow Maya is so enthralling to watch, especially when Ayumi is in the picture. And the shit Tsukikage has to go through thanks to Onodera is infuriating, like there's no way she actually deserves the treatment she's gotten as penance/punishment for something she did as an actress.

I'm glad I bought the Blu-Ray so I can bypass my shitty Internet to binge what I can. Just can't tear myself away from it.

The old one? Bc that theme song is a bop

Holy shit Cells At Work Code Black has one of the shittiest endings I've ever seen to an anime. Not only feeling arbitrary to raise the stakes again but also outright end the series on an implied shitty moral of if you are healthy don't donate blood since it will likely be given to unhealthy people.
You must be blessed with good choices in what you watch if you think that was amongst the worst.
It's certainly mean-spirited though, considering how optimistic the tone of the finale is, but as far as sequel-bait goes, it's understandable.

Yes, it's pretty good but only the first season is. You're better off pretending that was all. Some people argue that the OVAs make things better but I'd say they're desperately coping and/or lolicons.
The OVA’s make the second season at least watchable. Without them, the second season’s plot literally makes no sense.

That being said, it’s still a massive downgrade in quality. The first season is really solid on its own and has a decently satisfying ambiguous ending that doesn’t really demand a sequel at all.

If the twitter tards getting pissed about Nagatoro taught me anything, it's that Jahy-sama will give them a trifecta of things to be outraged about: a buxom demon lady that turns into a loli and also happens to be tanned.

That's the Sentai blu-ray release, right? I picked it up during one of their sales. I wonder if it'll go OOP like their Nadia release.

I am. Very very good read. It's from the maker of Pandora Hearts and its one of the best vampire manga's ive read in recent memory. Its about this self proclaimed vampire doctor named Vanitas who seeks to heal and cure insane vampires with his magic grimore. He's not doing it out of the kindness of his heart, its all an elaborate attempt of revenge. Along the way he teams up with a young naive vampire and goes around righting wrongs and exposing the seedy underbelly of vampire society.

The reason I like it so much, is it seamlessly manages to go into different genres at the drop of the hat, from mystery to horror to comedy and etc. There's never a dull moment, and the main protagonist is ballsy as fuck without being annoying. Also, there is a force of kickass holy Paladins in it and im a sucker for that.

It's good to hear its likely getting an adaptation, last I heard it was on hiatus because of covid.

By the way, has anybody read all of Pandora hearts? I read some of the early chapters because I loved case study, but I was having trouble getting into it.

Very surprised to hear the hate for season 2. I really enjoyed it myself. They essentially pulled a Metal Gear Solid 2 and made Hei even more awesome at the cost of not being the protag.

It really depends on how much you like the new girl and how much you want to see more of Hei kicking ass. Im still clamoring for a season 3 that will likely never come.

If you get mad from Jahy-sama you deserve to be crucified on a barbed pole.

I can't wait for Woke Twitter and Woke Reddit to start making broad assumptions about the Jahy-sama mangaka, not realizing that Wakame Konbu is a woman.

Since "Wakame Konbu" is a pseudonym (which is a kind of seaweed), I know some people may just claim that the mangaka is a man pretending to be a woman, but Wakame Konbu is also a V-tuber who does drawing and Q&A streams and she doesn't sound like she's using much in the way of pitch changing vocal filters.

I hope the woke retards on both of the platforms meltdown about it. Every single anime they meltdown about does incredibly well and gets a second season.

I take the plunge and got Lucky Star. I heard if you like The Golden Girls and Azumanga Daioh its perfection. (Supposedly the girls are kinda like Sophia constantly speaking their mind and referencing things)

I might use a guide to the references but I love when shows do that. I did hear something about the visual novel Air being cut in the dub because we never got it stateside.

And I'm pretty sure Hynden Welch is in it (anyone ever catch her in Groundhog Day?)
