After Nagatoro, another chocolate-skinned manga girl featured in smug memes may soon be getting an anime: an anime domain has been registered for Wakame Konbu's Jahy-sama wa Kujikenai (The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated).

Another Gangan Joker manga that also just had an anime domain registered is The Case Study of Vanitas by Mochizuki Jun. I'm not familiar with that one.

I'm always up for Mochizuki's stuff getting anime if that might lead to Pandora Hearts getting a new adaption that isn't garbage and actually covers the full story.
Yeah I've been finding some pretty good Korean webtoons recently. I remember refraining from them years ago, but actually found some good ones so far. My recommend from the ones I've read so far is No Home by Wanan, where starts out about a boy running from home and clashing with another weird boy who lives in a worn tent to becoming a full on arc series telling tales of high schoolers with childhood trauma or problems growing up. Has right amount of comedy and drama for me and one of few series than can make a character that was hated at the start become one of the most understanding and loved characters by fans the more you read through.

Most of what I read are those villainess/otome webtoons that I end up enjoying a lot even if they aren't all the best, usually the art in those are great. Probably read way too many of them. Most people aren't into those kinds of series (If anyone is I'll recommend the ones I've been keeping up with) so I'd just recommend one that isn't with Trash of the Count's Family since it's amazing. I read a big chunk of the novel and loved it to bits, the webtoon has been pretty great so far even if it's still at the starting gates of the series. Cale is such a great MC and the slowly built supporting cast is just as great, I can't wait for all of the gang to slowly trickle into the picture especially the Prince who's showing up soon in the webtoon.

Honestly I'd just recommend the novel for Trash of the Count's Family since it's way farther and the webtoon isn't going to get to the really cool bits for a long time.

Should I watch Darker than Black?
I personally would say yes, even to the second season that a lot of people don't like, but be warned the the endings for both seasons are pretty shit.

I like the first season a lot, but there's just something about the second season that makes me also like it even if the vast majority of people seem to hate its existence.
yeah, it's a really great anime, too bad it only has one season.
I'll always love this meme. Up there with this masterpiece from /a/ sings:

It's been such a long time since an anime has kept me watching it for more than an episode (or two if I have nothing better to do) in one sitting. Haibane Renmei broke this "curse" of mine and was an absolute treat to watch and I managed to finish it in 24 hours. My only reservation is that I wish there was more of it, it was truly something amazing.

Also if you have like 40 minutes of time to spare and are into raunchy humor, go watch both the Yuri Seijin Naoko-san OVA's, they're also fantastic.

Whenever I remember /a/ sings, I always think of the shitty Departure! cover from Hunter X Hunter they did while having all of the hype and energy of a kid trying not to be too loud as to not wake up their parents.
The best one they did was the one of Soremi Cake, for obvious reasons.

Haha I just caught up this morning. I got to that chapter and thought "hah this is cute and heartwarming and there's a hot fit tomboy". Then the second half flips away from that back to the main fight and holy SHIT.

I have a hard time picking my favorite /a/ sings since they all have their own autistic charm.

This one reminds me a lot of the /a/ draws series with how much it references board culture.

My favorite /a/ Sings will forever be "Libra Me From Hell" because of that one anon mad lad's godtier vocals.

WataMote chapter 189 reveals one minor supporting character to be a full-blown yandere lesbian.

No, it's not Emiri Uchi. Ucchi's awkward around Tomoko and she blurts out "kimoi/gross" much too often in reference to Tomoko (but it's really how she feels about her own feelings towards Tomoko) but she's not yandere.

WataMote-189.png That's Sachi, Koharu Minami's "friend" who seems to be the girl who corrupted Minami's friends group into badmouthing everyone. Sachi also seems to be very possessive in a creepy way over Minami and is jealous that Minami is finally making other friends from outside the group.

WHAT DID I TELL YOU GUYS?!

LITERAL TRANS FLAG IN AN ANIME NOW! It's over, it's the beginning of the end.
Apparently, the anime (Wonder Egg Priority) is about helping the dead move on if what little I've read has told me anything. That character there may be a tranny given your post and the few retard posts I've seen on trans subreddits (literally the only areas I can find actual info on this particular screencap). If Japan's adding trannies into their media, they're being awfully based about it.

Also, to be pedantic, that flag's missing a pink line underneath the white one.

LITERAL TRANS FLAG IN AN ANIME NOW! It's over, it's the beginning of the end.
I mentioned a bit of the context before:
Funny thing about that, the series you're probably talking about is Wonder Egg Priority. they feature a ftm in an episode, the character commits suicide after being raped pregnant, and is a place where in canon only women can show up in.
The whole show is pretty wacky, if not more heavy handed than a cement block. Turns out the reason behind the wonder eggs/suicided girls were because two scientists had nothing better to do than create an ai daughteru, who which would later murder one of the homo scientist's lover via throwing a blowdryer into the tub while she was bathing. The lover managed to have a baby before this, which they raised together until she grew up and tried to fuck the other scientist and was then convinced to commit suicide by the ai using dreamscape or something. The ai girl then went on a mass suicide escapade targeting young girls.

Just finished Kino's Journey (2003), loved it. I heard there was a 2017 version though, is that one worth watching after the movies or should I just skip it?

Kino 2017 is just as good as the original show. There are a few repeat stories, but for the most part its new stuff.
