I just caught up on that after giving it over a year off. Damn that manga was a ride, I wish it had a real adaption. It's crazy how early Ajin cuts off as an anime, iirc it was earlier than Akame Ga Kill. Not surprised they didn't wait though, it's so damn slow when you're reading it month to month, but then when you binge entire arcs and fights GOD DAMN what a series. It got a bad rap after the anime was done in CG and the dub wasn't great, but holy shit did I love the protagonist and antagonist. Some of the absolute best action I've ever seen in a manga, this guy knows how to write this particular sort of action like no one else in the industry. The final arc uses just about everything the series has built up mechanically too, and when it was done everybody got a good satisfying sendoff. It feels weird seeing these people just go back to their lives but that's what they wanted from the beginning, they have their regular lives back and now it's done. Except Sato who's gonna be in fucking cryo stasis for 200 years when he's obviously gonna get into some demolition man shit PLEASE make a sequel dude. I'm not sure how popular of an opinion this is but I love the artwork too, even when it's just a no background drawing of a character you can see how much effort he puts into his incredibly clean linework.Don’t know if this counts as a double post, but but the manga version of Ajin: Demi-Human has ended after nine years.

There were three movies that were made after this anime.
Hilariously the author is so burned out he wants to go back to porn, apparently it's much less stressful than being a real deal manga author.
