Has anyone read Vanitas no Shuki? It reminds me of D. Greyman but vampires instead of akuma. I think it is a fun read.

Accusations of Justin? Whod he attempt to rape with his micropenis?
Emma Bowers claimed that Justin was harassing her and his name came up on a list of abusers/creeps in the anime scene. He was given a copy of the document, had a chance to clear his name by telling his side of the story and have his friends come to his defense. No one else on that list had a chance to do so, nor did they believe her accusations. So much for believe all women. I have over 20 volumes of D. Grayman on my shelf yet I haven't thought about it or seen anyone talk about it in like 10 years until now.
I'll check this shit out too but now I wanna re-read D. Grayman.
Like holy shit, I remember how great it was as a kid and I feel like I'd like it even more now tbh.

I bought the first couple volumes since it's the same author as Pandora Hearts and I loved that series, pretty interesting so far. If it's anything like Pandora Hearts than the author probably has most of the story planned in advance with a big scoop of pain/suffering. I'm a big fan of Mochizuki's art, it evolved so much over the course of Pandora Hearts run and it looks just as fantastic for Vanitas.

Reminds me that I recently picked up the Pandora Hearts Odds and Ends artbook up for the old retail price out of a second hand shop, when I looked online later it seems like the only thing available for a decent price is the Japanese version. Real beautiful book and I'm somewhat sad it seems that the second artbook never released in English. I'll probably pick the Japanese version up eventually though.

God, the anime for Pandora Hearts was such shit that I've always hoped they'd pull a brotherhood with it and do a full adaption. Only thing I'll give the series is that the soundtrack is nice.

There are still at least a dozen of us D. Gray-man fans remaining in the west, it's just there's not much discussion outside when a new chapter drops. (:_(Been following the series since I first got into anime and it's stuck around as one of my favorites, too invested in the characters and world to drop it. Still hold out hope for Allen to get a happy ending after everything he's been through.

Still waiting for this to come to cinemas here. Since it's a shounen series I'm kinda optimistic since we do get Hero academia and Dragonball here.

I live in the middle of fuck-off nowhere and Fandango brought Promare, Hibike Euphonium, Konosuba, Youjo Senki, and the NGNL movies to my area. I would think one of the most popular in recent memory animes would get its movie in a lot of theaters.

Providing corona doesn't kill off every movie theater because of power hungry politicians keeping the country in lockdown.

Are chapters actually dropping again? I know the series started to release bi-monthly then got put on hiatus. Like I literally haven't read it in like 10 years, now I remember that an anime even dropped for it like a couple years ago too but nobody really talked about it at all and when I tried to watch it, I didn't know what was going on and realized I needed to refresh but never did for some reason. Fuck, shit is making me really nostalgic. I never read it online, I only ever bought the volumes in stores and the releases are so slow, you don't even see D. Gray Man in book stores anymore. I actually just looked it up and Viz never dropped the series despite only like 1 volume being released a year which is weird since Viz drops a ton of shit or at least it did when I bought manga more. I guess either Viz really likes the series or there's more readers out there than I imagined.
The last thing I remember is General Cross disappearing again and Allen leaving The Order, I think Road was also there or something, I really need to get back into it.

They are, but the schedule is kind of erratic. The plot has been focused on Allen's past for a while now.

I remember read D. Greyman after Trigun and FMA and thinking to myself, "What is up with the hero missing an arm?". I enjoyed the characters and the story up to the most recent chapters where it now feels more Kingdom Hearts than anything.

I also feel that it set up the supernatural group genre that includes Soul Eater, Ao No Exorcist, Black Torch, Witch Hunter, Enen No Shouboutai etc.

IMO Beserk, D. Greyman and Hajime no ippo are three series that will either end based on the author's death or by Editorial come down on them to wrap it up.
I would include One piece but I feel that he is milking the story for all it's got as he would never make another story at OP's popularity level.

Apperantly Jun Maeda, the writer for tons of Key projects (the anime of Clannad and Angel Beats) locked his twitter and vanished off the face of the earth. Hopefully he'll appear again because 2020 sucked as it is.

Wasn't it rumored that it was because his latest work turned out to be pretty bad? The Day I Became God, I haven't watched it though so I couldn't say.

Oh it came out? I wasn't paying attention. Would've been hilarious if it was over Charlotte because fuck that anime, but if it was over his new work, he fucking deserves it for not fighting for two-cour. He needs to stop writing anime, he only knows how to write visual novels.

Come 2021, I’m buying the Ghost In The Shell: Stand Alone Complex omnibuses along with watching the entire series. I already have the original 90’s manga version along with the original movie, so this one should just be me reliving the good times I had finding about this anime.

I just can’t imagine myself watching the 3DCG version that was made for the Netflix. It made me like the Scarlett Johansson version more, even if Americans didn’t appreciate it much.

STG omnibus? Hmm

I heard there's a scene of random lesbian sex (tho its a simulated dream?) and some black woman gets raped in Africa?

Anyway has anyone seen Takunomi? I'm aware there no real plot bc its about women drinking. I personally am not a drinker but it seems like each episode goes into a specific drink?

Holy shit, Kizumonogatari is awesome. This should probably have been the introductory part to the Monogatari series instead of Bakemonogatari. Hell, it's a prequel so it's a good starting point all around. Only reason I'm watching it right now is because I wanted to watch an anime about vampires and the name came up, but there's like a dozen Monogatari parts before Kizumonogatari so I'm wondering how many people even reach Kizumonogatari before abandoning the series.

Also, that ending theme is haunting.

The whole thing about the Monogatari series is its completely and utterly fucked up orientation and sense of pacing. I mean, its really a beautifully animated series besides that and has plenty of fan service in it. It is a HARD series to get into to begin with. I had to read a fucking instruction manual before I even started.

But if you watch it in the release order like I did....ho boy lol. It is CONFUSING as fuck. Also it is VERY different from the Shonen 'boy gets vampiric powers' type deal. So if people go in with that they will be disappointed. It also has a very strange minimalist style to its animation and the way it transitions as well. It isn't like a typical series at all. Nearly all of it is slow burn, but still has anime tropes (fan service and romance but nobody ever fucks).

Could it be related to the current Key project that seems to have fallen off the face of the Earth, Little Busters Kud Wafter? It was supposed to release end of November, and just like any good crowdfunding project it seems to have suddenly gone quiet after it failed to deliver what it promised on time with no update whatsoever.

It's a shame too, I actually helped crowdfund the project because I'm a fan of the earlier Key works.

Edit: Seems this might just be an issue with the international distribution and might fall entirely on TOM and not Key. Guess I'll just pirate the movie as I was unaware it had actually been released since their communication regarding the project has been utter shit.
