Obligatory “I am not a furry,” but is Beastars any good? I’ve seen it advertised on Netflix and a few Youtubers have talked about it. The general premise (basically a darker and more realistic version of Zootopia) seems interesting.

I would definitely recommend checking it out, at least the first couple episodes. The cgi animation is fantastic, same studio that did Houseki no Kuni. It also has a great opening and was one of my favorites series in the season it aired.

I have no idea about the quality of the Netflix subs, but from my experience they're a mixed bag typically. Unless you're really against torrenting I'd recommend grabbing the release by PAS. They did the whole series and put a lot of work into their releases when it came to translation and typesetting.

A darker Zootopia is a good way to sum it up. The manga is superior but the anime ain’t bad either. I would definitely watch the first three episodes however.

Thought it was amusing.

It seems the author of Kaguya Wants To Be Confessed To is up to some shit.

Anons with access to this leak are saying Aka's newest project will involve a bespectacled obstretrician who dies from a botched burglary not long after learning his favorite idol is pregnant and expecting twins. Incidentally, his little sister (who has cancer) presumably dies as well, because both are reincarnated as the idol's twin children, and it seems they are following their mother's career path judging by the clothes they are wearing on the right.

...That is one hell of a premise to unpack. Some are joking this is Aka's way of venting after being cozy with Kaguya for too long.

So I just watched the first 6 episode of BNA, the new furry Trigger anime. It's.... surprisingly good.
The background for the series is about animal people existing in society, getting mistreated and going the Israel approach of isolating themselves in their own city. The plot is about a Tanuki girl that's originally a human who fled to the city and her adventures there.
I started the anime dreading that it will be a "racism is wrong" but I was surprised, the animal people are still overly victimized but it's clear they are very different from humans and have some messed up "might makes right" mentality. Besides that the characters are extremely likable and the Trigger insanity works well with the backdrop of the city. The visuals are fantastic, the world building is good and it has great humor.
I would still bet aliens will appear by the end of the anime for no explainable reason.

Is the Sailor Moon Eternal repackaging any good? I have all the 2011 rerelease manga so I'm curious.
Heard theres new artwork and yet another revised translation. Are the notes new?

Dirty Pair was one of those staple titles for a lot of American fans back in the 1980s and 1990s

also a favorite of early parody dubbers, this one was pretty popular back in 1989-1991 and was traded via tape all over for years.

I prefer the manga version of Evangelion over the anime version.
I’ve seen so many people trying to wrap their heads around the anime, that in the end, all they have left is to create the memes.

I should probably get back into watching the Rebuilds, since the new movie is postponed.

I feel the manga of Evanagelion's ending was more satisfactory than the TV. The official manga not those doujins or romcom versions.

I didn't watch it but I predicted the aliens were the reason that the animal people existed. I swear I really hope Trigger fucking stops with the "LOL ALIENS ARE THE REAL VILLAIN" cause it is always the same and annoying.

I did one without the headers for WataMote/No Matter How I Look at It, It's You Guys' Fault I'm Not Popular! because, for the life of me, I couldn't figure out how to add headers.
Top row, WataMote then
Bottom row, WataMote now
Headers: Boke, Tsukkomi (Comparatively), Moe through helplessness, Seemingly "perfect" at first glance

Of course, it's not perfect since Tomoki doesn't ever seem to interact much with his cousin Kii, so he's not really the Tsukkomi to her Boke, I'm including him as Tsukkomi to his sister Tomoko.

I haven't seen Dirty Pair but I love the shit outta Tylor. Great series overall. Never got around watching the OVA, though.
ehh
they're not like Gatekeepers 21 or that Nadesico movie or the Eureka Seven sequels that go "remember how they lived happily ever after? lol no" but they're kinda meh depending on your interest in the characters they focus on, then they end on getting the gang back together for a totally great adventure that's going TO BE CONTINUED ps they don't continue it ever

also Earth Granner, toy commercial show that replaced Shinkalion. It's no Shinkalion.
