Just watched the first episode of this, gave me the feeling of a early 2000s anime, really refreshing from the schlock we usually get these days.

Probably because it had the single most offensely bad intro of any series I've ever sceen. The first episode is about a Naruto clone that can't be a ninja and a nicer Sauske, then it turns out Naruto actually inexplicably has antimagic powers like a half dozen other more likable recent protagonists from successful anime. So he gets to be a ninja anyway. And then literally 15 minutes of the second episode was a recap of the first episode. Fuck that noise.Black Clover is better than MHA and it's recent OP is AMAZING. Kind of sucks it's not as popular, but i can understand why. At the surface it just looks like a Fairy Tail clone and the MC's screaming in the first dozen or so episodes leaves a terrible first impression.

I have some friends that watch it and said it gets better, but there's already too much anime to keep up with. I don't have time to keep up with a long battle Shonen that thinks the viewer is an idiot.
Jesus that fucking arc. Even a 40k character will say it is fucked up.Made in Abyss: Chateau Bonbon recently premiered. Anons on /a/ are already reporting that it's spectacular.

EDIT: I didn't catch it before, but no. 4 on Disc 2 is a 4:20 piece literally titled "The Rumble of Scientific Triumph".
I really hope you will enjoy it as much as I did. The world is strange and weird, but it is a lot of fun to explore it and there's so many neat ideas sprinkled throughout.I think a certain someone *cough@RomanesEuntDomuscough* will be pleased to hear about someone starting Dennou Coil.
Weirdest first episode I've seen in years. I thought I accidentally started the second episode because it just drops you into this setting where weird, crazy cyber shit's going on, and they're dropping down these alien-sounding names/words that don't sound real. Like, this feels more like a modern-day interpretation of My Neighbor Totoro meets Earthbound and even that's not explaining it well enough. The animation's really smooth, like yeah, it's Madhouse, but that's some good art for a twelve-year-old show. There's a piece of music that made me think of Yoshi's Story for some reason, so I was like "Ohhhh video games" which kinda helped in getting hunkered in, but it's still so weird.
Granny's an oddball lmao. You don't get elderly characters like her often.

It's only got 7 chapters so far but I'd highly recommend people check out the Sekiro manga Hanbei Side Story, solid art and it dips into the characters/politics of Sekiro prior to when the game started. Honestly even if you don't like the game you could still enjoy it cause it still makes for a neat Samurai story.
Extremely lttp, but really enjoyed the Castlevania anime. No clue exactly what to expect going in, but definitely didn't see that level of gore or humor coming (not that I'm complaining). They do a good job of making Dracula sympathetic enough so he's not just evil for the sake of being evil and showing just how stupid motherfuckers were back in those days (dude let's kill Dracula's wife lmao). The confrontation episode between Belmont/Alucard/Black Mage Lady and Drac was great and the finale of the battle being Dracula realizing his quest for vengeance had led him to the point where we was trying to murder his own son and choosing to surrender to his death was the perfect way to end things.
They've confirmed a 3rd season which I guess will continue from where they left off with Isaac and Carmilla or whatever still being out there. I somewhat expected them to fast forward a bit and bring in a different Belmont to contend with Drac's latest resurrection since that's the ultimate plot of the series though depending on how long they plan on this series going that's certainly something that could still happen.
Still holding out hope for WHAT IS A MAN and/or DIE MONSTER
I really disliked the second season, felt like the creators tried to rip off GoT with the vampires while the heroes were stuck in the library for 3/4 of the season. The big problem is that you know from the start that the vampires would fail because otherwise Dracula won't be the main boss, so there isn't really any tension. Also doesn't help that all the characters in the vampire court are horrible people.Extremely lttp, but really enjoyed the Castlevania anime.
