Because women do nothing wrong and are all saints and we should all put them up on pedestals but at the same time they are weak flowers we must protect but all women are strong and independent.

It obviously makes no sense, but modern intersectional feminism is predicated on the cognitive dissonance that women are strong, independent and can make choices (which can be wrong or morally bankrupt) and at the exact same time women are weak and delicate flowers that can do no wrong and need protecting from the world. Obviously there is going to be a massive crashing of waves of reality that cause this disruption. Most people will block you once you point out this dissonance because they can't really back up their statements. You can't be independent, have choices and then be protected from your awful, morally bankrupt choices by society. Shit simply doesn't work that way, but intersectional feminism defies traditional notions of things like justice, equity and fairness to shit like these hypocritical notions.

Male feminists are even fucking worse because they'll jump through hoop after hoop just on the off-chance it'll get them laid.

You probably shouldn't. The guy who wrote it loved Game of Thrones Season 8, which has been an unmitigated narrative dumpster fire. Also the quality and concept craters in the basement (which is probably the next episode or so)
once you find out the truth and it becomes a bad game of thrones rip-off, replete with 'shocking' deaths, an awful time-skip that still doesn't explain anything and will surely won't be completely fucking hamfisted and ruin that narrative I'm sure and a mixture of World War I and World War II and some really bad, fucktarded writing and endlessly drawing shit out with characters you don't care for, don't advance the plot and are unlikeable except to the author.

He traded his fucking amazing pseduo-medieval post apocalyptic setting for a boring-as-fuck, generic political 'Game of Thrones in World War I & II with Titans as Nukes/Dragons'. I fucking hate when authors throw away a brilliant thematic concept for something so fucking boring. Nigger, GoT is a billion dollar series, stop aping the fucking shit. And stop aping its worst fucking parts. I cannot even IMAGINE the hilarious shit-show once he ends this. The guy gets erections off of pulling one over on his audience, no matter what it does to the work. There's absolutely 0 point to care about Attack on Titan right now, because the author is looking for ways to finish the story that no one has guessed. Typically no one guesses these endings because they're so fucking terrible.

My point is Jojo is better by massive leaps and bounds. Don't get invested on Attack on Titan. Not unless something shifts radically with the author or the anime.

I heard some stories about the plot of Attack on Titan going to some really wild places, but if what you say is accurate, it sounds like a letdown and a half. I reminds me a bit of when I tapped out on One Piece during the Whole Cake arc.

I fully agree! I don't think it's a secret that I'm a JoJo fan. As a matter of fact I love this franchise and I'm about to continue with Diamond is Unbreakable. Watching the first three seasons I was thinking how in an alternate universe anime would be like today if every shounen series tried to imitate JoJo instead of Dragonball. How would One Piece for example be if Luffy was based on Jotaro instead of Goku? The crazy and amazing shit we'd have today...

FP is great, didn't wanna stop reading once I started. Guy's quickly becoming one of my favorite new authors. The characters are unconventional and fun, the artstyle distinct and memorable and you never know exactly what the fuck's going to happen next.

It was only like 3 chapters ago in Chainsaw Man we had vomit-kissing and now all fucking hell is breaking loose. It's a lot more mature than your Boku no Pico Academia's and One Piece's so I'm curious as to how well it's stacking up in the SJ lineup.
 
Ended up reading Ijiranaide, Nagatoro-san after seeing it referenced and random reaction images from it, and I can see why people enjoy it so much.

Also very obvious the artist draws doujins.

Chainsaw Man is doing really well and it's one of the three successful new series from 2018. (The other two are Act-Age, which is about an autistic genius cute actress and the other one is Jujutsu Kaisen, a darker action shonen with horror vibes and it was a very big inspiration for Chainsaw Man, since Fujimoto is a fan of the series, but they're both very different despite the similarities).

The Promised Neverland and Kimetsu no Yaiba are two other series on the darker side and they're from 2016. Let's just say that it's trendier nowadays to have darker themes in WSJ. Chainsaw Man's Fujimoto is also a fan and a friend of the author of the series Jigokuraku, from the app Jump+ and next week there will be a collaboration page with both of the series in WSJ.

As far as I know, China is Japan's second largest consumer of anime and manga, with the rest of Asia, Latin America, and North America not too far behind. They currently hold the record of more companies in anime production committees than the aforementioned countries despite a majority of productions being propaganda or cookie-cutter knockoff series. The Goblin Slayer and Shield Hero "controversies" were nothingburgers as they were forgotten about under 2 weeks; SJWs just chose to seethe and hate-watch them afterwards. The times are slowly a-changin' in Japan (or at least with their youth, which is tame compared to the identity politics shitshow in North America), but conservatism is still a big part of their culture, and Japanese are generally quick to call out any BS on social media. I predict that some things will come to a stalemate regarding identity and culture come the Olympics, as long as no one whistleblows anything or creates some fuss (which I can't say they won't, obviously). I'm cautiously optimistic for the time being.
 
So, I was thinking about movie adaptations of anime/manga and to my dismay, I realized that the best adaptations are most likely Alita (which is awesome) Speed Racer (which is strange) or Hentai Kamen, which is glorious... everything else seems like it's garbage.

There's more in Japan and apparently none of them are any better.

However, I’ve had to put it down several times and think. I feel kind of bad for Ataru- on one hand, most of his actions are justified because he’s a huge horndog. On the other hand, he was born an unlucky kid right off the bat, his mother doesn’t care much about him (then again, she could be just a frustrated housewife who’s had to put up with his bad luck), Shinobu’s a tsundere who gets triggered by wacky shenanigans even when he’s sincere, and his life was turned upside down by an overly affectionate alien. I know Rumiko repeats this formula in her other series (I’ve read Ranma 1/2), but once you seem to get to know everyone, you start to see another side of them. I guess this is what she meant in her little author’s note.

I finally got a chance to pick up a copy of this and its basically everything I've been waiting for for the last 20 years. Urusei Yatsura and Area 88 were two the manga I loved as a kid and were bummed that Viz never finished. Heck, I even bought the old back issues of Animerica to pick up the installments that weren't collected in the trades.

The new edition is wonderful. No complaints about the new translation so far. The new additions were a nice touch. I'm definitely going to be heading out to my local book store soon to find volume 2.
