Honestly, if Vic's a predator and Funimation knew about it for all of these years but continued to keep him regardless, that's just going to look really bad on their image because then people are going to accuse them of circling the wagons around creepy people just because they make them money, and they could start digging around for more examples like Todd. (It also would just make these voice actors look more like jackasses for thinking they could take the moral high ground in spite of hiding it for "professional reasons".) It's literally no different from the shit Hollywood pulled, but Funimation could easily go the way of Central Park Media (or ADV and rebrand themselves under a new name) just for that alone if they end up doubling down.

Which, frankly, a reformation doesn't sound like a bad idea, even though it may mean putting a lot of projects on hold.

I mean with the uptick we're seeing in LA dubs, we might end up getting even more of those.

Hell, if shit goes further downhill, we could see either a rise in sub-only releases, or dubs from Canada or the UK again.

If I had to guess, he might not wanted to have Vic come after him or something? I dunno.

I mean, all those people who went after Weinstein and Spacey took their sweet-ass time too.

Apparently they wanted to keep their jobs, and that's why you never heard anything outside of stuff said by con-goers. Lot of stories on Twitter about voice actors saying: "If I said this about Vic publicly, I'd lose my job."

If you ask me, of course, it probably comes from - who else? - Funimation. They may be the kind of people who've heard these stories and think it's best they don't get out.
 
Weinstein is a fucking (((billionaire))) who was granted power in Hollywood. Vic I don't think can consider himself a millionaire, so I sincerely doubt he has the power to blacklist people in the voice-acting industry. If it's indeed Funimation they were more afraid of, then it sounds like everyone's eyes should really turn inward at people like Justin Cook and Chris Sabat who I think have some kind of power and say in Funimation.

I'm not going to suspect voice actors when it's the executives who are more likely to have done this.

More than likely just get a sound-alike. RoosterTeeth is sticking to Monty Oum’s script as much as possible(he had the series planned out for a long time and did let people know the full plot) so I can’t see hem killing off a character just because the VA may or may not be skeezy

I wonder if had Monty Oum knew of the Vic Sandals at the time before his death. Would he had killed him off in the main story or just be rolling in his grave that they are replacing Vic with some soundalike. Cause it should like the role and the character was made for Vic. Meh?

I mean we don't know the full plot of Monty's story (only they do, and they sure as shit aren't going that far to reveal it), so who knows. It would easily be fitting of RT's attitude either way.

Though if they do get a soundalike, who would they even get from either the Texas/LA scene? Only voice I can think of that'd work would be Brian Drummond's, and he's based in Vancouver.

Some of the people that know the full plot don’t work for RR(Ross O’Donivin from Game Grumps, for one), but I feel like killing the character off is like the last last-case scenario.
