I watched the first 3 episodes of Kemono Friends season 2, while i don't find unwatchable like most of /a/ does, it is kinda disappointing how it doesn't follow up the events of season 1, season 2 fills more like a rehash instead of a direct sequel, and holy hell, they sure love to tease the audience with the possibility of Kaban appearing in a future episode

So I'm pretty much a normie when it comes to anime; I know next to nothing about the current stuff that's out, and I haven't been paying attention to anime since 2005-ish? Even *I* have heard several Vic Mignogna creeper stories. I started to hear about them several years ago, too.

I am very critical of the #MeToo movement, don't get me wrong, but I personally believe the stories that have surfaced and resurfaced over the past week. Just my two cents.

I think the accusations of homophobia are bullshit, though. He hates gays because he doesn't sign yaoi? HA. I wouldn't sign that shit, either. Isn't it pornographic? Yeah, no thanks. I would not want my name on that kind of stuff, and I'd honestly be creeped out if any fans brought it to me to sign it.

I think we're going to see a huge wave of other #MeToo cases with these voice actors. Hilarious, really ... Because most of them spend their spare time on social media REEEEing about Drumpf these days.

How many of these female fans are just former groupies that threw themselves at their idols and now proudly proclaim that they were raped retrospectively?

We do not know, and we will never know, and we can never know.

That's why I hate this sort of shit. Either scenario is perfectly plausible.

Are those tears real human tears, or those of a crocodile?

From what I have heard, it wasn't actually yaoi but just romantic fan art featuring Ed and another male character (a lot of Western anime fans seem to use the word to refer to anything male x male, even if it's not actually pornographic) and that Vic's explanation as to why he didn't want to sign it has been inconsistent (ranging from "It was porn!" to "I don't sign fan art in general" – the latter isn't true). It's not clear what happened because I don't think the girl with the fan art ever came forward

I dunno, I'd like a transcript since Facebook crashed on me and I was transfixed on dem brows.

His reasons behind it is that he won't sign gay art if the characters involved aren't confirmed gay. I think Vic has played a few gay characters in the past, but far as I know they weren't exactly confirmed, that I can tell. Granted, I haven't seen everything he's been in, but he does voice a lot of pretty boys, especially those from shoujo titles, so I expect a handful of them to be canonically gay.

The comment for the recent manga chapters of quintuplet is just Miku fags and Nino fags making fun of each other and it's great. I'd hate it if the author doesn't have the ball to make it clear who he would end up with and instead pull a vague ending so people can headcannon their favorite waifu into the winner though.

As for komi-san, it's a mediocre show with some good point here and there that some people on the internet decided to promote using meme and people who are weak to peer pressure just eats it up.

You realize those guys are the same morons who threw a fit that the Castlevania show on Netflix portrayed the church as bad and call everyone pedos and fully believed the Luke Weber crap?

Oh, yes, and here's a tweet they did about Vic:

"Yeah but if he wanted underage poon he has a much better selection than the people claiming he did anything with them.

Especially during the height of FMA's popularity."

Something something broken clock twice a day, especially when you consider who's involved on the other side of things.

In the end, everyone ends up a lolcow we document and laugh at.

Surely there are better sources on this thing than people who think Vic dindu nuffin?

Welllll I did a little bit of digging around about this. The CEO of ANN speaking out about Hazukari means there is something going on, but it's unclear how it ties to Vic.

Then I remembered someone posted this in the Hope Chapman thread that went unnoticed, apparently:

There was a list ANN had released, but I can't find it (wouldn't know where to look for an archive). I even tried to find this Emma Bowers, and:

Best I could find in a short amount of time of this chick was an interview, and a picture of her (but like apparently she's well-known in the community?):

So I'm thinking this is a trail of breadcrumbs that has been quickly devoured, but there was something there.

Well, considering the allegations of sexual misconduct has nothing but hearsay as proof, and all the other allegations are based on ridiculous ones, I'm inclined not to believe something wrong has happened without some actual proof

Regarding the Vic allegations, I'm iffy iffy. on one hand some of the stuff mentioned is plausible but on the other hand I do want to wait for more info as people tend to drag these allegations out way over their heads.

As for continuing the trend of this thread, I'm reading The Promised Neverland and it's surprisingly engaging. Really fucked up but not in the "oohh scary demons way" but in the "oh god this is pretty horrifying psychologically way". The characters are pretty likable and the manga does a good job established every step of the plan. Really if this was any other generic manga it would've ended

after the children escaped, but instead it's more of a survival manga after that point.

Really it's not too bad and I do like the characters. The only thing I noticed that people had a slight controversy over was Sister Krone who's looks are very exaggerated if you know what I mean. I don't think this was a "THAT'S RACIST!" moment because in previous chapters she looks relatively normal. Overall, it's a fun read.

I will say the anime does look promising but I'm not a fan of them skipping the chapters showing the big reveal in the beginning.

I mean Vic does have a reputation for holding sermons during his con appearances, but a lot of this feels more like "he said, she said", and unless someone who knows him more directly (like a co-star, casting director or close family member) comes out and confirms this. I get the feeling it'll mostly remain speculations and rumor.

Still at least we know that Todd is one.

Closest I've seen to that so far is this ex-Funimation employee:

I don't know about him being a rapist, but I don't doubt that he's a creep. He's already known to openly kiss and flirt with underage girls, so it's not that big of a stretch to imagine he's gotten a bit too handsy with them before.
