They should dub all the episodes of Urusei Yatsura. There's like only a few episodes dubbed. Even the British didn't dub them all:

The only completed English dubs were done in Animax Asia, which were probably done by Hong Kongers or Singaporeans:

While it's definitely a terrible dub, it also has to be one of the most unintentionally hilarious in my opinion. Ataru yelling British slang is comedy gold in my book.

I also recall hearing about a Mexican UY dub that includes the complete series, plus some of the movies and OVAs back in the day. But it was never aired for (most likely licensing) reasons.

Reminded of AnimEigo's attempt as well.

A number of countries had dubbed the series like France and Italy, so it has managed to make a dent out there.

Am I the only person here who first became aware of Lum courtesy of Matthew Sweet?

Of course, since MusiquePlus (the Quebec version of MuchMusic) always cut the video off short of the copyright info at the end, it took another year or two for me to learn the name of the girl or the title of the anime. I didn't know it was called Urusei Yatsura until I saw a short blurb in a video game magazine about a Urusei Yatsura game coming out for the Sega Mega CD in Japan in late 1993 or early 1994 with a picture of Lum.

EDIT: Hmm, the Vevo version didn't have the copyright screen about Urusei Yatsura either, though I'm sure an older pre-Vevo upload of "I've Been Waiting" had it.

I'm sure you're not the only one to have first heard of Lum that way.

Speaking of Rumiko Takahashi, she's been inducted into the Will Eisner Comic Awards Hall of Fame. Cool.

I recently finished watching the Junji Ito Collection. Beer and sarcastic company made it much more enjoyable than it probably would have been otherwise.

I don't know how to show off the new Digimon news outside of "Look guys, more movies", but these images should speak for itself.

Oh boy more shitty digimon stuff based on the first series. I sure glad Toei giving this series new life with older fans in mind after Fusions(or Xros Wars) nearly killed it. Remember when digimon had good anime cause I member. Who known maybe this new movie won't put me to sleep, I doubt it. I just hope the new digimon designs aren't ass.

If Motonaga isn't the director in this one, I hope they pair him with Konaka for a digimon tamer movie.
He's a good director who can make pretty good action scenes but he need a crazy writer.

God, I wish we could get a Tamers movie. That season was always my favorite.

The last anime I picked up and finished was Little Witch Academia, and man do I love it. Something about it just really hooked me, and it's definitely near the top of my list for favorites, if not my favorite TBH.

Some of my other favorites include Owari no Seraph, Boku no Hero Academia, Free!, Mob Psycho 100, Azumanga Diaoh, Show By Rock, and Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei. I don't read a ton of manga for some reason but my favorite would probably be Yotsuba&!. It's pretty nostalgic to me because during late elementary school and middle school I'd go to the library every Saturday with a friend to read manga, and Yotsuba&! was often what I'd pick up and read/reread.

The Godzilla anime on Netflix is amazing. It's probably the most recent new anime I've seen.
I usually re-watch older stuff

With manga I just read Berserk, Lone Wolf and Cub, Ranma 1/2, Steins;Gate and Gangsta

Anyone watched Brain Powered?

From the creator of Gundam, a bit of a crazy show, but people kept comparing it to Evangelion.

Anyone watched Brain Powered?

Brain Powerd? More like "Brain Damagd" by Yoshiyuki "Kill all the braincells" Tomino.

Yeah, I watched it dubbed (was terrible), but still, fuck that show, it gave me a literal headache trying to make sense of it all. Only thing I took away from it is that it has a whiny-ass kid who was going to shoot his mother in the face because she never gave him birthday presents, and all the girls are naked in the OP for some reason. Also Yoko Kanno's talent couldn't save it, her music never fit the scene because she wasn't told what was going on and had to make-do with what she could. (I also feel like Cowboy Bebop took up most of her and Sunrise's time, it shows a lot in the animation, like if it wasn't for the character designs, I wouldn't have believed you if you said it was Sunrise.)

Also the mecha designs are the most uninspired designs I've ever seen. Couldn't tell any of them apart.
