That looks pretty badass actually!
Well yeah, that tends to happen. Censorship and stupid changes aside I'll always have a fondness for it. Katie Griffin and Susan Roman as Mars and Jupiter 4lyfe.Though when rewatching some (dubbed) Sailor Moon episodes with friends I found them to not be as good as I remembered them to be when I was 10...
Not mine :/ Gundam, Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon and Death Note were all aired on YTV (where Sailor Mini Moon's VA introduced shows)I'm pretty sure Toonami was a part of everyone's childhood.
Relax, I wasn't being literal. My point is that Gundam, DBZ and Sailor Moon were all big back then. Not mine :/ Gundam, Naruto, Bleach, Sailor Moon and Death Note were all aired on YTV (where Sailor Mini Moon's VA introduced shows)
Didn't mean anything by it, just relating my experiences. YTV used to be great for anime until they lost interest and started promoting a bunch of live action shows instead. By the end, it was just an hour of Naruto and Bleach. They never touched Shippuden or Gundam 00. They also moved some shows to after midnight (like Ghost in the Shell) in order to play more "Canadian content" (include the worst Ghostbusters/Power Rangers ripoff I've ever seen).Relax, I wasn't being literal. I remember that show, terrible acting, writing, CGI (though the last one might have been intentional), the works.Didn't mean anything by it, just relating my experiences. Canadian content quota. By law, TV stations in Canada have to air a certain number of shows that have "Canadian content." This usually translates into it being name dropped as taking place in Canada, or the odd bit with hockey or Tim Hortons.I remember that show, terrible acting, writing, CGI (though the last one might have been intentional), the works.
Why was it a thing?
Oh I know about Can-Con (Since I live in Atlantic Canada and all). I'm just wondering why this had to exist when there's other things they could have done instead.Canadian content quota. It's been like that for nearly 40 years now. Obviously they're so concerned about things being 'made' there, they do take it to the extreme sometimes (this was why the 1980's Astro Boy cartoon was big in Canada due to them getting their own special French and English dub of it).Canadian content quota. I was never really into the series but it sure does
Not to me, at least it will end at all (Shonen Jump tends to have a tendency of these series lasting that long in print).I was never really into the series but it sure does
feel weird that it's finally ending after 15 years of publication.
