Yah, Im glad they havent forgotten about Eri. And Mirio as well!

But yeah that fight was amazing. But the one for the new season coming up is going to be amazing aa well.

devilman would have been more belieavable if it was set in america.
japanese people probably would not act like that, even in the most extreme situations.

but I think it was pretty common in that period(70s/80s), for stories to be somewhat depressing and have a not so good ending.
stuff like fist of the north star and tiger mask also come to my mind.

Watching Cromartie High. I remember seeing an add for this in a mag back in high school and thought it must have been for some hardcore gay porno series. Man, how wrong I was. This is freaking great.

Also, going to restart Detective Conan. Read up until around Chapter 700, kinda lost interest and fell out for a while. I really want to get back into the grove, so back to chapter 1 to freshen up my knowledge of the characters.

Watched Re: Creators a couple weeks back. It's really sad how great most of the fictional characters are, and I would really like to read some of their series. But man, does the non-character writing for the show suck.

I'd say it isn't entirely cynical. You still have quite a few characters that aren't complete scumbags. The best example being the devilmen; beings who retained their humanity despite being half-demon. Akira, the protagonist, remains a good person throughout most of the show and only gives up when he sees that one character's head on a pike at the end. Devilman isn't saying that "humans are no better than demons," or however you'd put it. It's more of a "this is what would happen if humanity eventually gave in to their urges." Like a warning of sorts.

That being said, I do feel like they just wanted Devilman to end in a shocking way, whether it fucked up the message or not.
It's pretty damn cynical when every character except for a select family and friends are just terrible people. And when I say every charracter I pretty much mean the entire fucking world in Devilman is made up of the most garbage people apparently. It's goofy as shit.
The devilmen are also still bad people, they just managed to retain their good side along with their bad side. Miko is a pretty bad person for example though she learns from her mistakes and flaws and improves herself.

So I just found out the new season of Sailor Moon Crystal is actually going to be a two-part film.

Goddamn it, Toei.

I’m all caught up with The Ancient Magus’ Bride. (Watched up to episode 4 so far and then decided to read the manga.) Elias is top tier husbando.

Goddamn it, Toei.

I'm holding out hope for the Dream arc movies because there are two instead of one. Someone on Tumblr did the math and apparently two 90-120 minute movies would only be slightly shorter than a normal 12-13 episode season. That being said, I'm sure there's still a lot they're going to have to cut to make the Dream arc fit into two movies. That's a damn shame, because the Dream arc is a fantastic, complex story that really deserves to be shown in its entirety.

Anyway, at this point I'm really worried that Stars might not get adapted at all. That's a real shame, because Stars is my favorite arc and by far the arc I was most excited to see adapted. Please, Toei, I need to see my intergalactic Sailor Senshi war animated!

I really do feel like Toei has screwed the pooch with Sailor Moon Crystal. If they had only invested the time and money into making the first two seasons as great as the third one, I bet it would have picked up a lot more fans and traction. It was so bad that, on my blog, I would post screencaps of the third season of Crystal and some of my followers would be like "Wait, when did Sailor Moon Crystal get good?" I have no idea why they waited so long to bring out the big guns.

What's the deal with live-action movies/series based on anime? I just don't see the appeal. Something so minor like a hairstyle sticks out like a sore thumb. Like... really, look at this shit:

Is it just me who doesn't understand the appeal to this sort of thing?

I'm just glad none of the talk about a live action Cowboy Bebop has come to fruition. What a shit show that would be.

This isn't even the strangest live-action adaptation of Phoenix Wright that exists.

A few years back, there was a musical based off Ace Attorney with an all female cast.

I actually found the entire thing on Youtube. Wasn't expecting that. Lol.

New channel Soul uploaded this, and...

Welp, guess I'll give Attack on Titan another shot.

I want to say Toei completely hates everyone and just plays up nostalgia for your money, but I wonder if Bandai is the one to blame for everything wrong that Toei has been doing with properties such as Digimon, Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Sailor Moon. Still, it seems like Toei doesn't really seem to care for Crystal in the magical girl department, not when the PreCure franchise is the one pulling in all the ratings and merchandise sales.

I’m really glad Eri and everyone is still involved in the story.

Bird mask guy, yeah. Seeing Deku get to do what he did fully animated will be awesome.
Given the 2 arcs per season pacing, I expect that the bird mask arc will be in the 4th season, this 3rd season will probably end after
The O4A vs A4O fight.

In regards to BnHA, I'm quite excited for this manga arc. Gentle and La Brava are quickly becoming my favorite villain pair.

The damage has already been done with Sailor Moon Crystal. No one except the hardcore stans gives a shit about it anymore. Sad that it took Toei this long to realize their fuck ups. I’m not holding my breath on the movie being good.

Just like with Bleach. Fans of the ending (lol) are clinging to hope that the live action movie will do well enough to get the final arc animated, but the chances of that are hilariously low. Aside from the movie and the Brave Souls app, Bleach is practically non-existent in Japan now.

I'm giving Green Coat Lupin another shot, and while I didn't like the OP the first time it began to grow on me. Then it turns out they replaced it after the third episode. Still, Green Coat is getting better.
