Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

The Charge of The Light Brigade? The Dardenelles? Thermopylae? Kursk? Bastonge? Hurtgen Forest? The Siege of Vienna (pick whichever one is your favorite)? The Pyrrhic War? The Second Punic War? The First Punic War? Antietam? The Somme? Passchendaele? Guadalcanal? Chosin Reservoir? Outpost Vegas? The Gallic Wars? The GWOT?

There are tons of examples of one side or the other just throwing their guys into meat grinders again and again until one side is literally just too broken to fight anymore. It's how humans tend to wage war.

ETA: Most of the time the battles or wars that I mentioned literally only ended after one side physically couldn't go on and the other decided to let them surrender. Now imagine a setting where the enemy is fighting to exterminate literally every last man woman and child of your entire species and you'll find soldiers willing to do literally anything to stop that. The humans in this setting are not running into the meat grinder because they choose to, they are doing so because the alternative is certain annihilation. They are on the defensive with their balls to the wall.
Can you do me a favor and just explain to me what you think my position is because you seem to be arguing against someone that says that no army has ever been wiped out in battle. I hope you find them

Honestly, this almost reads as pure parody and some mentally unwell SEAnigger (they're from Thailand) spending their waking hours shitting up twitter like they do 4chan. Even if they are real, I have no idea how they get any attention whatsoever. The only logical response to this kinda shit is to ignore it. They're very clearly fucking insane.

It is frustrating though, Gachiakuta is a great manga and I hope that the manga doesn't suffer because of this shit and that Urana doesn't lose her desire to continue making it in the way she wants to make it. Giving in to cretins like this never ends well because they will never be satisfied. Once you give in once they know that they can continue browbeating you until the end of time.
I enjoy Gachiakuta too, but I ain't surprised at all that it attracted such subhuman filth.

These people are not fans, they don't enjoy the story, or even respect the author. They're only there because of some random aspect that aligns with their worldview and delusional headcanons, like gay ships or in this case, representation. They hold the author to such high standards, and when they eventually do something they don't like, they become evil incarnate.

There needs to be a term for these kind of people.

FUCK YOUR CAT !

and this cat killing actually makes sense in the story in a political sense that resulted in a seppuku later on.

Killing small animals, the mark of a truly brave and honorable samurai who doesn't afraid of anything.
He isn't a samurai tho.

He is a japanese old "loan shark". Basically someone would who would hunt someone for pay. The guy would but his own life by giving him a paper giving his name, the price and his hand printed in his own blood.

And the debt didn't vanish after someone died or not so it could still be cashed in decades later by someone different.

It is a great series. 400 pages long, the name is Kubidai Hikiukenin by Hiroshi Hirata

I finished watching the second Macross Delta movie and holy shit. That was good.

It makes me wonder why can't Gundam do a fucking good movie at all

The problem is that Gundam can't make a good movie to save their franchise no matter what.

Because Gundam isn't very good.

It's because Tamano is a Nihilistic faggot. It's why the best Gundam Shows generally had very little to no input from him.

G Gundam, Gundam Wing (he's only credited honarbly for it since he made the entire franchise), Iron Blooded Orphans (again only credited honarbly), Unicorn (which he hates), and so on. Pretty much everything that isn't set in the Universal Century has at least been entertaining, meanwhile most of the UC shit has just been either miserable and Nihilistic or retcons for the sake of retcons ala the Origin.

And this is coming from someone who actively enjoys Gundam.

>Tomino nihilistic

Dude, what the fuck are you talking about? What is Ideon? What is G-Reco? Some of the most hope filled stuff ever and you bring this shit.

And the moment you said Wing, then I already knew you are retarded.

Gundam is mostly a franchise about war, you will have sad moments in any series, why would you paint it as nihilistic? Even the darkest series, Victory, still has the most HOPEFUL ending ever.

Wing being listed as the one of the best on my part is definitely nostalgia I'll admit that, besides G Gundam it was one of the first series I watched as a kid. So I'll admit my bias on that end. As for Tomino, from what I understand the man flip flops a lot on his stances on things, but maybe I'm just so black pilled I see Nihilism and misanthropy where there is none

The thing is that UC is the only timeline that actually have more sequels that means there must be more war.

If we take the next most developed alternate, the war gets even bigger with SEED.

It is literally in the nature of the series.

Iron Blooded Orphans
IBO is unfiltered dogshit and it's only praised by retards because le hecking barbie rex is cool haha lole. Everyone in the story is a retard, damn near everyone dies in pointless and stupid ways, and nothing actually mattered in the end. It suffers from being the entry point for a decent amount of people so they like it because they have to, it was their first Gundam show. I think it also gets a lot of residual hype from actually having quite the strong start, as that's where IBO is at it's best. That it squandered that strong start contributes to it being so shit, too. In any case, fucking terrible inclusion in a "best Gundam shows" list, especially when it was included there as a counter to general Tomino nihilism when it's one of the most miserable show filled with pointless deaths out of the entire franchise.
