Meant to do it last night, but it was getting late and I was tired.

I finished Sailor Moon last night. After letting it sink in for over 12 hours, I do have to wonder if I would've enjoyed Sailor Stars better had it been dubbed, if only because I had gotten attached to the characters through the dub. It was a good season, I just didn't really feel them here in the original, at least not after Darien Mamoru left to go abroad. Although I liked the addition of the new Sailor Scouts, I liked Seiya the most--probably because Seiya had the most development between the three of them.

If I have to complain about something, I think I had the bar set up a little too high when it comes to the ending, I just felt a little underwhelmed by it. Like... it just wasn't romantic enough, if that makes any sense. I guess this is just anime-only because it was made at around the same time as the manga and so it easily overtook it, but even then, it had to have just borrowed from the manga and more-or-less went in a separate direction, taking all sorts of twists and turns along the way. So I dunno, just not a fan of how it ended.

But the journey was still fun. Even though I'll probably always prefer Cardcaptors more, I definitely see why it's popular and beloved. While I might rewatch it in the future, I don't see myself owning physical copies of the anime any time soon (I've had the first two volumes of the manga for a couple of years now), as I'm not sure if I do want the Viz Media dub since the DiC and Cloverway dubs were a lot of fun.

when Berserk is on hiatus again on a big story beat and only trashly monster girl harem Manga can help numb the pain.

Rewatching Samurai Champloo for the first time in about a decade. Bought the Bluray years ago when I came across it by chance. Man, even after all this time I still love this show.

Also, have Gundam Reconguista in G coming my way after finding it for sale. Despite what some people say, I still love this series and hold it as one of my favorite anime of all time.

Well, Sleepy Guts aside. A while back go I bought myself Speedgrapher on DVD, Since felt like watching it again. I dropped it half way though episode five. Jesus you think a show about people getting powers around there kinks would be exciting, but no its a god dame snore and the ugly animation doesn't help it either. I check out funi release since lot of them are about 2o bucks now. on the manga front, I pick up Junji Ito's Gyo and also I got into Monster Musume. I will admit I never though highly of it, since my first expose to it was those weird minute long shorts. after reading it I discovered its a trashy monster girl harem manga. but its the level of trashy I tend to like.

Is anyone here watching berserk 2016/17 anime? How the hell did it get season 2???

Also ive been meaning to start reading/watching one piece but im not sure where to start. Anime or manga? Something else?

The Godhand is messing with causality.

Watch Strong World. If you enjoy this self-contained 90 minutes story you'll probably enjoy the manga.

Avoid the anime. Well, the pacing on the first seasons wasn't so bad, but it does eventually get pretty damn sluggish.

Shuumatsu Nani Shitemasu ka? Isogashii desu ka? Sukutte Moratte Ii desu ka? finished today and I have to say it's probably my least favourite anime's in recent years. 288 minutes of my life wasted watching an anime that shit the bed in terms of story telling. If the light novel was the same, the writer should find a new career.

Naive Berserk fans bought enough blu-rays of the first season hoping it would be better.

Also I saw the sales charts for AoT season 2's home debut, the first volume of the blu-rays and the DVDs together in their first week only sold 6,000. That's... really bad.

AoT just didn't release chapters fast enough when its was popular. If i remember right the manga was barely passed the anime by the time season one finished. its also the reason why there was a fuck ton of spin offs. they need to bank on that shit before the next hottest comes sizzling along. I do think Season 3 will happen, but beyond that I doubt there will be any more.

Season 3 is confirmed for 2018 (watch it get pushed back another two years lel), but for there to not be another season after that sounds plausible. I feel like I should feel bad for the fans, except I don't care too much for Attack on Titan to begin with because the fans were obnoxious, so...

Wasn't there supposed to be like a Sword Art Online third season or something? Has anything come out of that?

From a Google search, I can gather it's going to happen, but I have no idea when. The release of movie kinda mutles the info on the anime front. Which I had no idea there was even a movie. But my interest for the series peak after finish episode 3 of the first season. So I could really care less. I known all YouTube anime people are going to be thrill to beat that dead horse again.

I only just found out today that Record of Lodoss War is coming to Bluray on July 18th. Preordered it immediately, I owned the VHS of the series back in the day. The set comes with the 13 episode OVA and the 27 episode Chronicles of the Heroic Knight series. Now all they need is a Bluray version of the first three Slayers seasons and then I can stop caring about Anime again for a long while.

Perfect choices!

Speaking of perfect choices, looks like a classic will be screened theatrically this fall here in the states!

That's cool. So would I need to watch the original Lupin III, or is this able to be a stand-alone? I've been thinking on getting around to the Lupin franchise for a while now, I just don't exactly know where to start outside of the original 70s anime (or if the manga's available, that too).

It works on its own, but you should still check out the manga or either of the two 70's anime.
