Why do the new guys look so gay? I don't even just mean that as an insult, I mean most them literally look they stepping out a femboy yaoi or something. The new Halo guy looks like he's literally wearing women's clothing.

Holy cancerous character designs Batman! They're always so garish and tryhard, like some suit said, "We already had a guy with brown hair, lets make it gayer and put a red leaf splotch of red in it for that POP factor, and let's shave the sides off into a fade too because that totally isn't incessantly used these zoomie days". Utterly shit. And all the danger hair in the world can't make up for a bad production.

Gundam Wing taught the makers of anime that making male characters pretty boys will attract female* viewers.

The audience adapting to anime had already happened in America to a degree completely taken for granted by anyone who grew up after the likes of Dragonball or Pokemon were popular in the States. The "Globalizing" of anime, as advocated in more recent times by people who are calling for making it more palatable for The Modern Audience, that's all just euphemisms for adapting it to the whims of the most obnoxious, small-minded, and petty people.

People watch anime because, often they do want to watch something from another country, another culture and they don’t want it to be just like the stuff they can already get here. Imagine looking at any anime series and thinking "Oh man, if only this was more like Family Guy!" or any anime film and thinking, "if only this was more like the latest Illumination Studios slop." It's also extremely arrogant of a lot of the Americans with this sort of mindset to essentially demand anime/manga back in Japan must change to suit them.

What netfux does to anime is exactly the problem, like there are Numerous examples to choose from now, most all of them being cancerous. I can't remember which came first, Dindu Note 2017 or that tripe for will smith's daughter son, but it started around then.

Way back in the day you'd get a second season of Big O or an IGPX out of western involvement... Nowadays you just get (((western meddling))).
And it only gets worse unless the Japs nut up and stop shilling out their IP to the west/letting (((westerners))) buy out their studios/animators.

does anno even do anything anymore ever since rebuild pissed everyone who liked the original series off?
He may be wanting to do more films, Toho I think is considering a Shin Godzilla sequel. Filmmaking is his greatest passion next to anime, seems to be where he's at his happiest.

He made Gundam G-Cucks which I personally thought was a tad lame and gay.

By the way someone mentioned VOTOMS, watching this one now. It has some padding, but it's gritty as hell. Never would have I thought to find a mecha less safe than the average Zudah.
I fucking love VOTOMS. Obviously it suffers from a lot of the normal early real robot problems (QUALITY animation, re-using footage, pacing issues) but it's so gritty and brutal, and Chirico is an absolute chad by virtue of being:
>not a child
>not an indecisive whiny loser
>not afraid to kill niggas when niggas need killing
Once you finish the main series you should absolutely watch the spinoff, Armor Hunter Mellowlink, which is a great ride on its own and stays much more grounded than VOTOMS. I don't know that I've ever seen the concept of "footsoldier hunts mechs with a giant anti-material rifle" done anywhere else and boy is it fun.

It's kind of pointless argument to make, original anime are depressingly rare as it is, so content is dictated on whatever LN, manga or video game is popular enough to get a season, and studios don't really give a shit to Nigger-ify the series. The bigger issue is that the manga and LN creators are more exposed to western media so the source of content itself get contaminated.

Though honestly quality is so shit that I don't really care anymore, we have at best 3 good series a season. Looking at the next season of anime it's 90% sequels and 9% slop.

Anyone remember when Harmony Gold tried to make their own franchise from chopping up 3 different anime and would throw legal lawsuit after legal lawsuit at the original right holders to block them from every being available in the US as well as some completely unrelated games for "infringing on their IP".
Because that sounds like Harmony gold in a nutshell.
