I don't think it was ever really confirmed in most cases, but pretty sure a lot of inspiration comes from fashion magazines. Would also explain a lot of the homo undertones the series has.

This seems to be a good collection of possible references. Of course, taken with a grain of salt :

I still think the creator of Jojo's is a closeted homo who has been using the manga as a way to draw what he likes.
I was legit shocked when I saw something offhandedly mention that Araki has a wife and kids. I just took it for granted that he'd be a "confirmed bachelor."

Maybe he was straight, and then became gay? I notice a sharp decrease in the amount of good ladies after the classic milfs. Pic related.

The series started out with Fist of the North Star characters punching each other with not-FotNS brand magic punches (because FotNS was popular), and then it transitioned into beyblade battles using ghost pokemon (because FotNS stopped being popular while that stuff was rising and doing that would prevent schools from banning the merchandise due to the non-contact nature of Stand fights), and then everyone turned into a walking gucci handbag. It seems most likely to me that this is because araki noticed that idiots like that stuff and will spend money on it and araki likes money and not because araki enjoys it up the bum.

Also he can't fucking draw so this rolled well with leaning heavily into the wacky catwalk poses.

Reading this thread makes me so glad for not diving into the Jojo bandwagon. I watched the first season with a bunch of friends when the anime aired, and found it very mid. Jojo is not for me.

I'll definitely put Jojo on the least butchered list of mangas. The worst of Jojo is still miles better than most popular shonen (not a hard task, but still). Just embrace the insanity.

He literally draws men with lipstick on.

It all depends on how strongly you believe straight fashion designer is an oxymoron since by far araki's biggest artistic influences where French and Italian fashion magazines from the 80s and 90s, and many designs and poses are lifted from them.

I suppose that's why he's had art galleries in both countries as far back as 2002-2003 despite that fact that jojo's wasn't even published in either countries prior to said galleries.

I don’t know how unpopular of an opinion it is but part 4 is my favorite just a group of guys in a small Isolated town where loads of crazy people and shit happen, araki packed ghosts, aliens, serial killers, “evil” chefs a pylon, and a cat plant all in one town over one summer it’s cozy. it reminds me of how me and a group of friends spent ours after summer school

Part 4 is possibly the most comfiest JoJo has ever been honestly.

Season 1 is nothing like the rest of the show. And since loser fucking retard dipshit wrong jojo fans seem to dislike the first two seasons (even though they're the best parts, especially 2), maybe you'll prefer the later stuff too?

Part 1 is the weird victorian vampire punching stuff you've seen. 2 is badass ancient alien gay T-1000 muscleman punching by the best jojo, who is like kenshiro if he ate spiderman. Then from 3 onwards, which is a brodown travelogue and the one most people like most, everyone forgets how to punch and gets digimon. 4 is an episodic comfy neon town thing where the digimon are named after music now because he ran out of tarot cards. 5 is a gay italian boat cruise. 6 is a lesbian body horror prison thing with a special fun ending to stop people asking for Dio to come back. 7 is cowboys and for some reason dinosaurs and you get to see the guy who can't draw humans attempt a great number of horses. 8 is a small town thing again but this time the author has mad cow disease. 9 is ongoing but it seems to be about gay japanese gangsters who think they're hawaiian and like rocks and there's body horror again. It all sucks and nobody should watch it but there's really something for everybody.

So I was trying to find a new manga with good art and came across GOUMA The Blade that Slaughters Gods by Hiroki Ishizawa and it looked amazing. I got very disheartened reading his Twitter post after he found out it lost it's chance at publication. I get what he was writing about too, it seems like good art is overlooked for lots of goyslop. Hopefully the dude can get on somewhere because his art kicks ass.

Here's an example, truly a shame.

Really loved Angel Cop as you might be able to tell but I am also looking for more or similar Anime with a right wing kindof twist, a nationalist twist.
They'll never be finished due to the death of one of the 2-brother team that made them, but Highschool of the Dead and Triage-X might be up your alley.
