Yes. Asians are gamble freaks and even without a scalping market they will burn their cash on a literal color change of a figurine. It's always been a meme that even if they get what they searched for, they'll aim for 3 copies for: use, backup and display.
This is reflected in crime statistics, by the way. Asians (and I mean real East Asians - Nips, Gooks, and Chinamen, not Jeets and Pakis) are dramatically underrepresented in every category of crime, except one: gambling offenses. Asians commit almost no murders, almost no thefts, and even though they are often perverted (especially the Nips) very few sex crimes. But they are dramatically overrepresented in illegal gambling arrests.

That's because most forms of gambling are illegal in those countries. If it was made illegal in the US there would also be a bunch of "gambling arrests".

Fucking finally, last I remember was the OVA where people got butthurt over her hating communists. I remember it ended with her being re-stationed in Africa and the USA entering the war because she single handedly saved fantasy Germany.

Daman Mills threatening Amazon bc of the retarded AI dub for Banana Fish....
AI dubbing is a horrid idea and the dub sucks but plz Jeff Bezos send the snipers to get him
Hilariously I was thinking about the P&S season 2 dub last night and why it is it sounds so bad. I came up with two conclusions.

1) Amazon didn't give a fuck about keeping with continuity. The characters don't sound the same between seasons, and it's jarring as fuck. It's real telling that TPCi back in the day was the better company for recognizing this was going to be a problem when 4KIDS' Pokémon contract expired, so they actually attempted to find replacement VAs who sounded similar. Hell, even 4KIDS themselves did this with Mewtwo, and while you can hear a difference between Jay Goede and Dan Green, Dan still sounded similar using his Yami Yugi voice, and that's why he's still Mewtwo today.

2) Anime purists "won" the sub vs. dub war by being so loud and obnoxious for decades that companies have decided it's "better" for English VAs to sound as close to the Japanese seiyuu as possible. Problem is, this has made dubs worse because now they sound less "English" and more like "Japanese person trying to speak English", and anime purists were never going to touch dubs anyway.

And on top of the #OwnVoices shit (which means even the "right skin colored" VA will not actually voice-act), quality has suffered across the board. AI dubbing was fucking inevitable at this point.

Also it's hilarious they decided to choose the "BL darling" Banana Fish to test this out. Maybe if yaoi fangirls didn't help implode the VA industry here, they'd have themselves a proper localization dub. Hm, really makes you think.

WHOOO fuck yeah, been waiting for this for years. Honestly was losing hope that it was ever going to come.

We "won" the sub vs. dub wars by dubs usually being dogshit, unfortunately. That's not our fault. I didn't want dubs to suck ass, but when they usually suck ass, I am going to point out that fact and recommend subs as a preferable alternative if I want someone to enjoy watching anime.

I will watch both dubs and subs because I stopped having a personal preference in the game a long time ago. These days, I will go with whatever holds my attention the most; the original Gundam wasn't catching my attention subbed, so in my second attempt, I'm watching it dubbed and I actually have of yet to catch myself about to drift off. Higurashi is sub all the way, however, sometimes I will turn on the dub if I'm a little lazy and to also ask myself the question of "How in the FUCK did Geneon drop the ball so hard when I know these VAs are actually good?"

My issue with dubs comes from both the script and ADR director, and sometimes there's just only so much you can do because some people just cannot voice-act no matter what. I actually like listening to older dubs because at the very least, I can distinguish between voices, and that helps add to the lulz. It's rare these days for a newer VA to sound unique, and all the seasoned VAs are retiring, dying off, or are stepping out of roles due to #OwnVoices/the clique getting to be too much.

I had this thought yesterday watching/listening to Berserk at work (the bloopers fan-cut btw), where even without looking at the screen for maybe half the time, I didn't have a problem telling voices apart. And everyone was just so raw, it was real refreshing despite being an older Media Blasters dub. It even got me thinking that Veronica Taylor's voice for Ash Ketchum is actually a unique range because she's only used that particular voice a couple of times. Young Griffith was a mix of Ash and her usual voice, sounding just enough to separate her portrayal of both characters as being different likely because she was still dubbing Pokémon at the time and didn't want to bring "Ash" into the Eclipse.

And I really miss that about dubs. They just don't do that anymore, and that frustrates me.

Not that it's precisely relevant because Anime has always been a grabasstic ghetto in the English VA community but there's been a dire shortage of good new VAs everywhere. When you look them up they're all old fucks 60+. This problem is only going to become worse and worse until someone just gives up and has AI do it's best Billy West rather then letting the product suck just to give some lifeless zoomer a VA job to put on their resume.

I just started watching Uma Musume: Road to the Top.

What the actual fuck XD

I didn't knew horses loved carrots. I thought they liked hay. Anime makes you learn things!

As for Loli Hitler*, she has been popular for some time. I'm surprised it took this long for a second season for it. It was a pretty unique setup, magic and WW1 and 2 meshed into one.

*Magic Germany is ruled by a Kaiser so it is politically mirroring the second Reich, but most internet users propably never heard of that, making the mistake especially since the tech is sometimes real life third Reich stuff.

But Tanya isn't gay and lame like Harry Potter. Her wand is a period accurate weapon. She can cast fireball or full auto.

And yes, Tanya hates communists and loves capitalism.

How is the Uma Musume anime stuff for people unfamiliar with the game ? Funny sports/slice of life or more or less just for already existing fans ?

It's pretty accessible. The first season of the anime kind of suffers since they didnt really know what direction to take it in.

The second season is pure Kino. The third is a bit weaker though.

Cinderella Grey I've heard is really good though.

It's an excellent pallet cleanser anime. Like if you just want to watch something cute with the generic sports messaging of "don't give up" and "do your best" Uma Musume is definitely for you.

My profile picture is the main character from Season 2. It's honestly worth a watch.

Horses will eat pretty much any veggies they can get their hands on.

Carrots and Apples are seen as more "treats" for them though since they're high in sugars. horses like sweets in general, which is why Carrots and Apples tend to be the go to treat for them, alongside Sugar Cubes
