After S2So there's a SxF movie called Code White?! I will wait til Xmas. When does it take place or is it even canon?
Also Claymore is officially as dead as Sailor Moon when the license died in 2003 (?). Its gone from Crunchyroll and physical copies are scarce. Death Parade is gone from the site as well.
Ring is a great horror film and I think taking place in 1997 Japan was such a perfect time for its setting. It really showed the horrors of what spiritual photography could do during the VHS Era. A lot of people never liked its sequel Rasen (or Spiral). I liked Ring 2 more but Spiral was under appreciated and really took the franchise to its Sci fi themes. I still have not seen Sadako 3d duology and the 2019 Sadako film but I think there should be more manga work of J horrors. Spiral would probably be a good example or even perhaps LOOP.I read through the manga adaptation of the Japanese novel, Ringu by Koji Suzuki. I enjoyed it. Here are some of my thoughts.

* It excises a few awkward scenes from the novel, (the odd rape confession, the hermaphrodite lore), and rearranges the cast a a little, while retaining the general plot beats and characters. The protagonist is Ms. Asakawa, a journalist on the hunt for a mystery tape rumored to kill whoever watches it.
* Misao Inagaki's art is cute—too cute. Why'd they pick somebody with a cute artsyle? I got over it quick, but other readers might not.

* It's more a thriller than a straight horror story. The characters figuring out how the curse works is interesting stuff. The novel is stranger and the sequels fall into really strange sci-fi fantasy nonsense. The first book has got some of that but you won't find it in the 1998 film adaptation nor in this manga. The sequel manga expands on the science fantasy a little but I ignore it because that's got a different artist and a completely different artstyle.
It's neat. I recommend it.

The seiyuu is so good.
I'm not exactly familiar with Japanese gay slang, but that sounds like bullshit to me. As far as I remember, the only thing that "term for playing the game" could be referring to is the characters calling "Open!" before a game, and I can't find anything about that being or being similar to a term for homosexual relationships. At best you get stuff involving the English phrases "openly gay" and "open relationship".View attachment 8065643
What's the "jp term for longterm homosexual relationship" being used in WIXOSS?
Isn't it still on Hulu? Also Claymore is officially as dead as Sailor Moon when the license died in 2003 (?). Its gone from Crunchyroll and physical copies are scarce.
Who cares, the comment is fucking retarded. If that was the only reason the moron watched the show and liked it, they're a very shallow person who doesn't deserve attention.View attachment 8065643

It doesn't really look lesbian enough to me, apart from Iona being hella predatory.Go watch WIXOSS anyway, the actual lesbian(s) are portrayed as insane.
It's not, it just happens to have at least two lesbian characters and they're antagonistic. It doesn't really look lesbian enough to me,
It doesn't have any more meaning in Japan than it does in English. They're just saying it because it's anime and using an English word sounds more striking than using a Japanese equivalent. Also, @Retarded Weeb, what about all the characters saying "Battle" or "Batoru"? Is that merely Engrish (sic), or is it Engrish that gets used as slang by the Japs?
Just wait until you learn why Ru decided on the name Tama [from the movie].Watching the second episode of season 2, and man it got way more lesbian here.
Why not? It's a single-volume '80s manga that apparently has multiple adaptations, might as well check it out. I kinda wonder if this inspired Midori Days, it's got a similar premise, just this time the girl becomes the guy's right hand and it has a happier ending.
Why would you want to read this tbh?
Randomly googled it cause I was curious to see what the artstyle looked like and I smirked at the Japanse Wikipedia page which described the ending as sudden and cruel, and then deadpan points out that the story never explained why Chiyomi shrunk in the first place.
Why would you want to read this tbh?
Wow even Chiyomi must still be having her periods inside her tiny little womb, things will get crazy if this continues forever... is the thoughts I was having, so I decided to end the story. Even though I shouldn't have done that since I cry every time I remember it. I took it upon myself to make this world, then I chose to destroy it, and then I go off and feel sad about it, I must be crazy myself. What a narcissistic business. At the time it didn't seem like I was going to be able to give birth to children, so perhaps I killed Chiyomi as a part of giving up on having children.
