I like RuriDragon, but you have to accept what it is.Is drama queen or ruri dragon any good, I keep seeing it before the sunday reads.
It's a slice of life series about a girl named Ruri Aoki who finds out she's actually a dragon when she wakes up one day with horns. Turns out her dad is a dragon. She never knew because she never even met the guy. Between her, her mom, and most people around her, everyone is really chill about her being a dragon [as in, nobody even brings up the idea of her being experimented on or whatever], which might make you go 'I don't like this because it doesn't feel realistic', but that's never the point of the series. The point is more to use 'is a dragon' as some sort of analogy to puberty: Ruri has weird powers that make school life more complicated than she thought, but instead of being about her using these powers to fight monsters like you might expect, it's about her figuring out how to deal with sudden spurts of fire breathing. It had a pretty strong start in terms of audience response [people really liked it], which led to some issues when the author suddenly got super sick and couldn't work on it for literal years, yet the series was not canceled precisely because it was so strong.
Basically, if you want to read teenagers being chill, teenage drama being kinda realistic as opposed to what you usually get, and a general light-hearted tone to something usually more serious, it's a good read. If you don't like slice of life stuff, then it might change your mind. Or not.
