Now that's a real anime.
I've never even heard of this guy, but his art goes crazy. What are his best works?

Thank you for making The Drifitng Classroom. Here’s to hoping Junji Ito can live some more.
This one is unexpected, since he was one of the first before him to get me introduced to horror manga full time:

Makoto-chan is one of his celebrated works, but like I posted before, The Drifiting Classroom is a really well-done artistic story. There’s also Orochi, as well as the anime version of his short stories:I've never even heard of this guy, but his art goes crazy. What are his best works?
Damn, I was reading his Ultraman manga saturday. Drifting Classroom is a masterpiece

Besides the use of "I Can't Help Loving You", the original soundtrack is mostly great, some soft sentimental pieces and jaunty jazz like this:View attachment 6599560
Saw this in theaters last night. A bit generic, but beautifully animated
The Drifting Classroom and Fourteen I think are his absolute best. My Name is Shingo and God's Left Hand, Devil's Right Hand are also very excellent. But even his other works like Orochi or Cat-Eyed Boy are great. He never made anything bad. Whatever you do, I would save Fourteen for last since it's both chronologically his last work as well as the culmination of decades of writing the weirdest shit possible.I've never even heard of this guy, but his art goes crazy. That's interesting, very distinct look too. Isn't this kindov what South Park does?I'll post some stills from the '76 Cat-Eyed Boy gekimation "anime." It's done entirely with paper cutouts.
For those who don't know Vinland Saga eventually gets a character who amounts to a Transvestite version of Thorkell. This isn't hyperbole, it is a Transvestite bastard son of Thorkell, and it's played like an American HR department would give it to you, accept the man in the dress. Shit falls off hard after Thorfinn gives up being a Viking Chieftain.I didn't read other works made by Umezu besides The Drifting Classroom 3 years ago, but rest in peace king. This year is harsh. So many great people from animanga industry passed away. Let's just hope that 2025 will be better.
Nobody mentioned it, but apparenlty Vinland Saga is coming to an end after 20 years of serialization.
I won't be surprised if Einar loses his mind and goes on a killing spree considering what happened, Thorfinn tells him that it's wrong, they start arguing, Thorfinn kills Einar and BOOM the cycle of violence
2004 just feels way too late for a continuously releasing multi-decade-long manga to start, even one that released monthly.>Vinland Saga is ending
>after 20 years
The real shocker is that this was real for two decades straight. I need to get the Deluxe Edition(s) STAT before it’s too late.
If you like gekimation, check out Violence Voyager. The director really has a knack for that style.Since Umezu passed away, I'll post some stills from the '76 Cat-Eyed Boy gekimation "anime." It's done entirely with paper cutouts.

No, but whether it's a sequel to the manga or not I could probably guess the plot:So did anyone see that new My Hero Acadamia movie yet?
Who the fuck cares. Why do otakus always take this shit so seriously. If it was canon at least I would understand it being disgusting for no reason, but dude just wants a paycheck.Needless to say I will not be reading any more of this guy's works as he has all but publicly stated he will let you run his characters through whatever sick fetish gauntlet you can think of as long as you have the money.
I read it (basically skimmed cause I read a raw version), it's surprisingly tame compared to some other ones (Gal☆Cleaning & many other examples). But yeah, this is the same Gal Cleaning levels of pettyness.https://x.com/ButterBlue05/status/1853981460623138994
The Author of 'Doujima-Kun will not be disturbed', an ecchi slop series about the fluffy comedy will-they-won't-they relationship between two characters who very happily get along with each other has spat in the face of all his fans and accepted a commission for a chapter where the protagonist gets NTR'd by a gang of beach-goers as an alternative spinoff to his series that got cancelled.
I'm not linking the chapter here for obvious reasons, go look it up for yourselves if you want to see.

Why do you have to keep acting like having no principles is a good thing? You do this shit every single time you post...Who the fuck cares. Why do otakus always take this shit so seriously. If it was canon at least I would understand it being disgusting for no reason, but dude just wants a paycheck.
