I couldn't find a good clip but Kikuko Inoue is also the voice of Nana Kuramoto, the mother of Kei and Chinatsu on Flying Witch, a mother who defies the usual magical slice-of-life convention of parents being oblivious to the supernatural wonders around her, possibly because she has witch relatives and she even wanted to become a witch herself but lacked the natural ability for magic (which is mostly an inborn trait in that series).

Forgive me if I'm late, but I've searched all over and it doesn't seem like anyones mentioned that it was confirmed yesterday that Stephanie Nadolny is returning as kid Goku for Dragon Ball Daima. Which is kinda big news since she hinted and there was chatter around the weebwars era that she was fired after a breakup with someone at funimation/not sucking Chris Sabat's cock and replaced with Colleen Clinkenbeard. I'd say this is especially interesting since it's the first case I've heard of of a former funimation VA being brought back. I'd imagine it's only because of the Crunchyroll take over and the fans hating Colleen's version of kid Goku/Gohan, but even then it's almost universally unheard of for a studio to take that into consideration and bring back an old VA.

This is neat, I fuckin hate japanese voices because I'm normie scum and I've always thought that was the perfect voice for gohan/young goku. Her VA for gohan during the end of the cell saga made 9 year old me so hyped up.

It makes me very sad that we didnt get alot of isekai this season.
I just want to see somebody reborn as a dragons buttwipe...

Frieren: Beyond Journey's End
it's a really good show but the show is kind of depressing it does have a good deal with the idea that elves because of the long life spans really take a lot of things for granted .

I'm caught up on the manga for this one. It's a slow burn for sure, but it's extremely good. Some of the best world building I've seen in some time, and the characters are nothing short of fantastic.

Slice of life parts of Frieren are good. But it is clear that the author ran out of ideas for them rather quickly, so the story becomes your usual mediocre battle shonen, with powerlevels, retarded villains, and the world held together by authorial fiat.

I just finished reading Tokyo Ghoul and I liked it a lot but I just started Re and tbh, I think it's kinda ass so far. Like the characters in the original looked like normal people and acted like actual humans but like every new character in Re looks like they're straight out of a battle shonen and they act like they're straight out of a battle shonen. It barely feels like Tokyo Ghoul like this, please tell me it gets better.

@Skyline

Did you know it would be incredibly terrible for Ruby's career if everyone knew her brother was a murderer? Never mind she just co-starred in a movie that heavily implied her own father was a murderer.

Sad to say it doesn’t. The new characters suck and the ending is ass too, Ishida literally admitted he got tired of writing it. Re shouldn’t exist.

I feel like the issue with Elves there is that the long timespans blunts their emotions since falling in love and outliving it for the tenth time will blunt how much you want to associate with humanity.
Instead elves in Frieren are all uber autists that nees to be reminded that the outside world exists, which is at least new.

Frieren was interesting to me in that regard. When I first heard the synopsis from my wife before I watched it, I expected it to be essentially the anime version of a Forlorn Elf from the Pathfinder Table Top game.

This happened in PPGZ
Imagine if they did a crossover. I wonder if they stuck with Professor Utonium's son's original design, would he meet Dexter? 1719959637027157.jpg
