I know this forum is for the more season enthusiast stuff and not really the battle Shonen stuff, but why are people upset with the ending of Jujutsu Kaisen ?

So I just finished Shoushimin Series and it was by far the most deliberately frustrating anime this season.

While I liked the initial hook of slow-paced inconsequential mystery solving done with a high production quality and the gorgeous looking desserts that were featured thanks to the heroine's massive sweet tooth, I found myself despising it the more I watched. I especially hated how the main bitch whispers all her lines thus making the whole show sound like a torturously long ASMR video. I hated how each episode moves slower than a snail's pace with line delivery drawn out to the maximum - seriously, so much time is dedicated to giving voice actors eons just to inhale\breathe in before saying their lines, and every time they did that I wanted to reach into the screen and choke them.

I later found out that this was written by the same author who did Hyouka, and while the similarities are definitely there, at least Hyouka was a fun time with likable characters even if the mysteries were so laughably mundane. But this? This was nothingburger after nothingburger featuring insufferable dicks. Even the finale's biggest mystery and its reveal were a nothingburger which amounted to she kidnapped herself, man! The ending also further cemented the main dude as a spineless massive betacuck, it's almost funny.

TL;DR Shoushimin sucks dick, Hyouka > Shoushimin.

I remember how everyone praised the author of JJK Gege Akutami for how bold he was and how he would kill anyone at anytime siting the Shibuya incident as proof, basically no one died except Gojo since the Shibuya incident.

There is a problem that persist through of all of JJK where Gege is trying to hard to be subversive and edgy causing him to make retarded writing choices that just make the story worse for no good reason. The recent reveal that Nobara was a live all a long. When she died everyone praised this as so bold and people claimed that no other Mangaka would kill off such an important character, however she comes back later making the death mean nothing. However she was still out of the story until she came back meaning she couldn't do anything so it had all the downsides of killing her off but none of the benefits. Same with Todo and Megumi.

The art looks Togashi HxH rough, did this guy get his hands crippled or is this the physical manifestation of not giving a shit?

Gege tries to compare himself to Togashi when he isn't Togashi, Togashi has an excuse that being he is on the brink of death and he destroyed his body trying to meet Jump's deadlines.Gege went on a 2 week break with less then 2 chapters left in the Manga.

JJK was always pretty overrated but that's a result of everything now being either the greatest thing ever or not registering with retard audiences. At its best it was very okay, for half its run it was just the equivalent of stalling and all for a half-assed boring ending. It's in the "glad I won't hear about it" shonen category.
