Ah so you're one of those contrarian retards who just has to nitpick everything.
Safe to disregard your opinion and any bullshit you sperg on about.
Episode 23 retard, watch it again then come here and be humble, cunt.
@Shart Attack
RahXephon isn't a ripoff of evangelion at all. The creator of both series are friends and their sources are different Tomino series (eva would be ideon and rah would be reideen).
RahXephon is better written than evangelion, this is a fact. All the mysteries and clues are given to RahXephon characters and we got a specific character who does teh legwork for ourselves: the journalist Futagami. Unlike evangelion which is all cryptic, if you pay attention and make the connections the story gets quite clear to understand. (Even tho the movie simplifies lots of things). As a mystery, rah is so much better because that is the intention and that was how it was made.
It is funny that 20 years later people are still calling rahxephon a ripoff when in the last evangelion film, it copies the "tune the world" with its "neon genesis" scene in the last eva film from the rah film.
I like both series very much, the fact that the ps2 game is still unstranslated and there is so much new material in that angers me a lot.
Also the episode 19 is better than anything from the NGE/evangelion films.
@LightDragonman1
I can see your take. For myself I loved the new status quo from the 3.0 and beyond, it was really interesting, but I feel like the last film just goes full meta in the end and we miss lots of oportunities with it by going full meta instead of using plot and the new story elements. (I have no fucking clue what is the overlapping equipment that mari got in france for example)
But your take doesn't mean much in the context of the rebuilds because it was the same shit back in the NGE days. Anno giving priority to thenes rather than using characters.
There are two examples in evangelion that I love that goes against this:
Evangelion manga by Yoshiyuki Sadamoto. The manga is way better than the anime series because Shinji feels real. He feels like a teenager boy full of anger and self sabotaging. Anime shinji is just... There. He isn't active, he is passive through and through.
When sadamoto rewrites certain scenes and make new stuff, it gives so much life to Shinji that makes it real. His relationship with Kaworu is so much better in the manga because they are so antagonistic, the guilt that he feels after Toji's death, his talk with Kaji about responsabilities and his promise to misato.
Anime shinji feels like a parody of himself in comparison with the self sabotaging Shinji from the manga, who closes himself to others.
And the Second case is the Iron Maiden game. Mainly the new ending:
I love this game, the writing is so good and it feels so evangelion like (because it was done by evangelion staff lol)
In this new and not canon ending, Shinji talks with PEOPLE, his friends, Hyuga, Toku-san and Mana. Not superpower bullshit or supernatural stuff from evangelion, he uses real stuff from his life to get over. Not magic, not super parents, nothing like that, just friendships and real connections.
Now imagine my shock when in the last film, when Shinji decides to sacrifice himself to help others, his parents comes away and save him from the price.
Fucking hell, let him do the thing, this feels almost Finn being saved by Rose in the last jedi film.
