I have to still make my way through the Gundams (currently on ZZ), but I will most likely watch it after Turn A. Turn A is probably the Gundam I'm the most excited for so I'm glad Brain Powerd is even remotely close to that.Brain Powerd is super rewarding and satisfying to watch, though. It expects you to put all the pieces together and figure out what's happening yourself; it doesn't spoonfeed anything to you. Because of this the character interactions feel more realistic and engaging. The protagonist is quite likeable -- maybe even moe. I also like how the mecha, which are sentient, behave like animals rather than humans. The show does have some unintentionally funny moments, though, such as the "Orphan has become the 53rd state" scene (but that's mostly due to the music and the absurdity of the American livery). Think of this show as a weirder, fast-paced Turn A Gundam.
The only other thing I know about Brain Powerd is the Christmas present scene which probably goes hard in context but is really funny out of context. Also lmao at all of the Japanese comments trying to understand the cultural context of Christmas in America.
