Does Fate count? That and Raildex? But seriously, Crest of the Stars is a good watch, same with Violet Evergarden.
Fate is honestly a tough one to judge for me. On one hand I think most of it’s terrible. Pretty much the only legitimately good parts of the visual novels are Stay Night and Unlimited Blade Works while Heaven’s Feel is a bit of an edgy mess that makes less sense the more you think about it. Fate Zero contradicts a lot of canon and is a slightly better edgy mess than Heaven’s Feel but still ultimately pretty bad and cringe. Aprokripha is unwatchable, I’ve seen it twice now and just kept catching myself zoning out or doing other things. Ultimately boring and poorly written great memes not withstanding. Last Encore is just nonsense with boobs. Finally FGO while a fun game doesn’t make any sense within canon and isn’t even consistent within its own stories.

So, in summation, while there are two really great parts of the franchise the rest is kind of trash and it only has one good anime adaptation.

Heavens feel makes more sense when you realize it's the end of the game , the culmination of the past 2 routes. It's supposed to be a mess. The anime honestly does it better in my opinion, cuts a lot of filler. And its my favorite of the series. Not nessicarily on its own but because of what came before building up to it

Replay the visual novels because I can guarantee you this is a case of nostalgia goggles on your part. Most of the events that change during the Heaven’s Feel route have no real inciting incident and exist only because the story needs them to. The Steel Mind ending is a great example of this as depending on a choice you make that Kirei isn’t privy to until after the fact he either is or isn’t able to help Sakura. Though that’s an issue in nearly all of the routes regardless of Kirei’s involvement. In Heaven’s Feel objects, people, and motives are all like Schroedinger’s Cat.

I played it a few months ago man. Yes it changes alot. It's more the tone. Charecters that change. Die. Leave you. Looking back it was all set-up to happen

By the way something funny in one of the School Rumble visual novels
Explanation from the description
An additional voiced scene from the Japan only released ps2 game School Rumble : Neru Musume wa Sodatsu (The Sleeping Girl Grows Up). English translated. A bit of fourth wall breaking here, as the point of the game is for Tenma to engage in scenes with her classmates, gaining key words along the way. And here, Karasuma realizes what happens when you don't get any...

I realize I’m late with this, but god damn, am I hyped as hell to watch this in theaters.

Wait, they're releasing the summary movies officially overseas now? After how many years?

What the fuck do you mean by doesnt make sense with canon?
I think the only thing that is questionable is the Lostbelts and the Proper Human history/pruning theoretical phenomenon.
I'm not sure if they explain it later better but the story plays out like only one timeline can exists while the rest get pruned eventually, you have to reference material outside the game to know that a few timeline can exist in parallel, they just cant deviate from the main by the extent we see each Lostbelt does.

Not really since the timelines that get pruned are just because of how humanity is screwed over or is stagnant.

There is no such thing as one correct timeline or was it really applied. They call it Proper Human History only cause it’s the timeline the main characters are in.

I can only guess with how FGO breaks rules but a strength and weakness of the Fate franchise is how often rules are broken

Have you played FGO? I’m pretty sure I said this before but FGO doesn’t give a fuck about its OWN canon much less that of it’s source material. I’m the summoning mechanic is a great example. In the Visual Novel Archer is summoned into the very time period in which he lived and despite this is one of the most powerful if not the most powerful servant in the war. Meanwhile FGO tells us that Edison had to be combined with US presidents because he was too weak as a result of being a more resent historical figure, which brings up a whole other issue seeing as the Throne Of Heroes exists outside of time and therefore the “current year” should be irrelevant. Another powerful figure closer to modern day is Abigail Williams who unlike Edison is ridiculously overpowered, being one of the few regular servants to possess “Anti-Concept” capabilities without being Zeus level. Sure, The Witch Trials were further back then Edison by quite a bit but relatively speaking there isn’t that large of a gap. Certainly not large enough to justify the power difference. FGO is a joke game. It is not meant to be taken seriously within the wider continuity of the Nasuverse.

Just watch feast of Amrita? It's a direct sequel to Aragne Age of Vermillion. Personally, I don't understand why people don't like these films. Sure, they're skitzophrenic, but the storyline and animation aren't half bad. Nihonjin experiments leading to the unleashing interdimentional insects that want to take over our reality. The onlt thing I didn't like was it's not a series. It should be.

Going into autistic anime power level debate. Archer is not strong, but incredibly versatile and has shitload of mana of Rin. If Rin summoned Saber she'd lol curbstomp pretty much everything including Gilgamesh with being an overpowered servant powered by an overpowered master. Plus Archer isn't a hero but a counter guardian. Heroes fame is important for the time period/area they are summoned to. Though FGO probably just ignores it with its whole time shenanigans. Anyways, it's autistic and convoluted and very much modern bias with mixing modern, past and literary characters.

Way to tell me you didn’t pay attention to the show OR the VNs. Saber takes Ls like no one’s business regardless of who her Master is. Heck, the only way she actually beat Gilgamesh was because they had Avalon on hand, something she doesn’t normally have. You’re bending over backwards to explain away bad writing. It’s okay to like Fate but people need to recognize what an absolute shit show the the lore and world building is.

As to your point that Archer somehow isn’t strong, he virtually has the same power set as Gilgamesh if not a superior version. Gilgamesh is considered one of if not the most powerful servant to have existed at the time thereby Archer who is for all intents and purposes just a better Gilgamesh should then be in that tier as well. Now to bring that back around to Saber we know that Saber absolutely struggles against Gilgamesh even with Avalon, only just barely defeating him suggesting that without Avalon, which I’ll remind you isn’t something she’s summoned in with, she can not beat Gilgamesh and by extension she could not beat Archer.

I say this all to illustrate that you clearly don’t have a firm grasp on the lore of the show you’re apparently trying to defend. This said how can I expect you to understand something as simple as the franchise’s propensity to contradict itself when you can’t even wrap your head around the basic stuff? It’s almost as if so called fans don’t even pay attention to the shows and franchises they claim to like anymore, instead content to cobble together fanon excuses for why the poorly constructed narrative regularly crumbles under any brief examination.

I’d like to reiterate that while Fate is very flawed that doesn’t mean you can’t like it. In fact I like it quite a lot for the most part, warts and all. However, that doesn’t mean I’m going to ignore those warts or pretend they don’t exist because they’re inconveniently in the way of my Nasuverse jerk off session.

@DDBCAE CBAADCBE

You clearly dont know what the fuck you are talking about.

TYPE-MOON fights are never decided by who is more powerful than who, it is all about conpatibility of concepts. Archer being able to win against gilgamesh doesnt mean he can win against everyone else, he still would die to heracles. And this is a constant to this day in FGO.

''he virtually has the same power set as Gilgamesh if not a superior version.''

That is how you dont pay attention, its not nowhere the same, gil doesnt have any cost to use it, he just launches, Archer has to spend lots of mana and even if he copy the same one, it is degraded from the original one. Archer alters the way it is strucutured to fit his own ways (caladbolg II for example)

This is such the case where you can have the same fight (saber vs rider in fate) and (saber alter vs rider and shirou in hf) with different results.

And the best example of it is of course shirou and saber versus archer in the battle of the bridge in hollow ataraxia, you keep dying until you understand what shirou must do to defeat archer, he will snipe you every time until you understand a way to defeat him.

And lets not even use your dumb argumentation:

"FGO tells us that Edison had to be combined with US presidents because he was too weak as a result of being a more resent historical figure, which brings up a whole other issue seeing as the Throne Of Heroes exists outside of time and therefore the “current year” should be irrelevant."

Characters have a boost in fame to the era and area that they are summoned, apocrypha is an example of that with Vlad III. ERA and Area, if you summon vlad in romania before he even existed, he wouldnt get any boost from fame, since he wouldnt be as famous to this.
In fate/apocrypha worldline they even had a minor holy grail in greece where all the fight was canceled because all.lf them tried to get heracles, so he was banned, then they all tried to get achilles and the same shit happened twice.

Even in one of our most recent game (fate/samurai remnant), the whole story was set on a pruned timeline where if wouldn't fit in canon with other timelines since the eirei seigetsu happened before the creation of the holy grail war ritual by someone using clairvoyance to look into the future and creating a lesser copy of the ritual. And in the story we have a sasaki kojiro who was almost the same as the one in stay night and he was alive and even was the one who teached iori his technique. TYPE-MOON loves to break the rules, but is mostly when concepts are put against concepts (see apocrypha again with astolfo known for receiving gifts in life being able to use achilles Noble Phantasm since he was known to gift others in life)

So yeah, u dumb.

I finally finished Giant Robo 2007 and it was boring, I wish it had one more season since I really like Chiaki Konaka, and could see he explore more of the nephilim and the aliens rather than the BF news

So like, do any of you actually watch any good anime? No?
I'm in the halfway of Hajime no Ippo second season and it's great. I will probably pick up the manga in January, which is over 1400 chapters long and it's kinda funny considering that I told myself one year ago that I will never start anything that is longer than One Piece.

I have become a total simp and fanboy for Kingdoms of Ruin. It's so edgy and stupid but I'm really rooting for the protagonists and i've come to love their dynamic. The anime is ood too, it really captured the violence and energy of Adonis' rampage in those first few episodes.

My hate watch this season is Berserk of gluttony. It's fucking awful. For a show called berserk the MC sure seems to be a spineless wimp with no personality or goals other than 'protect my queen and repect women and beat up mean bullies'.
