So is Sukuna dead? Sealed? It's not like Gojo ever had a chance considering he is the same as All Might narratively - a nearly omnipotent mentor figure, if he wins then the entire plot doesn't matter. Also did the manga even say if the Sakura equivalent girl died or not?
It’s funny you say that given MHA had All Might come back to fight with a random super OP mech suit that came out of nowhere and the last five chapters or so was just him beating AFO in a boring rematch where the latter became actually retarded since he had an EMP ability yet never uses it.

I wonder if Hori and Geje are competing to make the worst final arc now

Don't forget that the writer just plain forgot about the traitor subplot

Are you kidding me? Now I'm glad I gave up on it. All might has literally been dying since the first episode, that is just stupid.

Yep he just gets some magic mech suit that has everyone of the class a students quirks in it he told no one about even though it would’ve been useful too.

The last five chapters was his rematch with AFO (whose entire character was pretty much ruined the moment Hori wanted to rip off Star Wars by having him come back) that was just used to make AFO a punching bag.

Reminder the Kamino fight where they first battled was much shorter but had more meaning to it.

The All Might stuff is prime character assassination and further goes against the passing of the torch theme that was set up.

I remember having some complaints about what they did the KD in the spinoff but god damn this makes it seem like nothing in comparison.
Leave to Hori not to be outdone in his own franchise, although I'm pretty sure the O'Clock plot point from Vigilantes was his idea.

I think my biggest issue with Jujutsu Kaisen is how lazy it is. A lot of explanations why things are the way they are are basically "because bloodlines and shit".
Now that you mention it, the way Sukuna is handled is just as retarded. In the latest ark, he switches bodies by ripping a finger of off Itadori and force feed it to Pregumi. Which is something he could do all along. but because "reasons"", now it was the appropriate time. Also it's not even "bloodlines and shit", it's "the reality of the world is so cold and cruel that anyone could die at any minute, so I won't develop or explain shit". You're right, it's laziness.

One of the problems with having a side character be both the strongest and the fan-favourite is that he almost always goes one of two ways - either he overshadows the protagonist when he shows up and diminishes his growth, or he carries a very obvious death flag and you're left wondering when he'll kick the bucket for dramatical effect.
From what I remember they hinted at it through the characters' vague dialogue and facial expressions, but I don't recall them outright saying so or showing the actual corpse/grave, so she could somehow still be alive because of course she would.
Which in this case it's kind of nonsense since Gojo has mostly lost every fight he's ever been in because of his own arrogance.

Also, it will be funny when either Shueshia or Jump go to knock on his door and demand to revive Gojo. That is if he hasn't planned another bait and switch like what he did with Nobara. The chick that literally got her head blown open.

Right stuf which got bought by Crunchyroll last year is shutting down October 10th, everything will be moved to CRs store.

Well thank goodness I haven't purchased anything from Right Stuf since last October, and I always used PayPal. Didn't know how they were going to move information on over unless they're just expecting everyone to make a new account. Which is retarded if so because BuyAnime, when they took all the ecchi stuff with them over to it, sent you information on how to copy your account over without hassle. It's just Crunchyroll being lazy assholes, I take it.

But also did Right Stuf not send anyone a reminder of "Hey, we're shutting down and moving services!" or whatnot? Unless I had email stuff toggled off, shouldn't they have done that months ago to give their consumers a heads up? What a disaster.

Being otaku is much pain.

Sad to see a business as old as Right Stuf getting killed off like this.

I vaguely recall them saying they would merge the two eventually last year but I guess most people assumed (hoped) CR would just scrap its store and deal everything through right stuf, but no everything has to be under one "Crunchyroll" brand so they just scraped the years of history like with funimation (as much as that was worth).
Most normie weebs seem to hate the news surprisingly since while they are willing to pay for sub prime translations on a shit player, apparently CRs store is worse i,e. everything is MSRP (unless your a premium subscriber and you get 10% off) where RS even outside of sales and memberships was 25% off anime and 20% books, the quality control is a lot worse with a lot more damaged items being shipped out, and the UI and customer service is apparently well know for being dog shit even when you compare it to the main streaming site.

I'm trying to think why modern shonen are so lackluster compared to past shonens. I doubt MHA, Jujutsu or Demon Slayer will have the lasting appeal of Naruto, One Piece and DBZ.
The best I can come up with is bad pacing. The older shows always had some cool shit right around the corner, while the new shows I feel like they stall whenever things get interesting. Also probably worse settings, MHA is the only show with an interesting world and it's capeshit, all the others feel way too restrained.

I mean, I get not liking modern shonen, but to say they don't have lasting appeal is just trying to be a downer. Demon Slayer was among the best selling manga in the world while it was running (I believe it was the manga that basically outsold the entire American comic books industry), and the anime is still going strong. MHA's popularity has held the entirety of its run. You may be right about Jujutsu; it never had the popularity of those two.

Sales don't really translate into lasting appeal, modern pop culture is filled with shit that broke sales records but disappeared from collective consciousness a minute later (Game of Thrones and Lost are the best examples). With Demon Slayer the start was great but each season became weaker and weaker, plus if it has generic shonen end then there isn't really any continuation possible.

In Demon Slayer's defense, it didn't shit itself down its own leg the way Game of Thrones did, and it didn't leave its audience unsatisfied and unfulfilled on purpose like Lost did.

Also with modern shonen compared to DBZ, One Piece, and Naruto, those series had more of an impact on the West due to being the first anime that people watched whereas stuff like JJK, MHA, and Demon Slayer are in an age where anime is more popular than ever. Of course this is withstanding their respective quality.

Accelerator of all people, gets a sliver of depth! I didn't think i5 was possible, but they did it!
At the end of the day, Accelerator and his loli he must protect is literally the only character arc in that show. I think Touma is a good guy and whatever, but he just sort of muddles around punching people for trying to fuck with the people around him and has no development at all and whatever backstory he had gets lost in him getting amnesia'd in the first few episodes.

I actually used to shop online at RightStufAnime for the last five years, so this blows. At least The Anime Corner Store is still a thing, since I can’t be asked to spend money on expensive shipping fees on the likes of Amazon and Barnes & Noble.

I can’t even think about what will happen if I have to resort back to going on eBay to get anime related things, since I was about to buy some new manga during the Fall Season and RS was my last resort.
