Definitely interesting and worth a watch, but damn depressing if you watch it at the wrong time in your life or in the wrong mindset.
Finally finished Tomo-chan after getting swamped at work and forgetting about it for two damn weeks. It was a nice little SoL romance featuring a cute and busty red-haired tomboy best friend. The sound and visuals are pretty standard "modern animu" fair (uninteresting backgrounds, CGI cars everywhere etc.) so don't expect a 10/10 animu spectacle. The main pairing of Tomo and Jun is the draw, and the characters can have quite a bit of interesting nuance at times. I'd rank them higher than say Uzaki's pairings because even after 2 seasons Uzaki remains pretty basic (apart from her huge tits). Tomo-chan is a nice friend-to-girlfriend SoL animu with the usual genre antics throughout, a good little show.
The series wraps up with a kiss and a romance firmly established. I'll take that over a cliffhanger and endless waiting for a 2nd season that will never come.
