I like the style of that new show about heaven. im not sure where the story is going and im not that sure about the world building, but ill watch another episode.
also liked the concept about that boy who births some strange lolli god into a isekai world.

What's it's name?

How many times has it been now that American live-action Akira's been on the verge of going into production? I think this may be the fourth such announcement since, what, 2002?

I remember the time that Catwoman director Pitof was rumoured to be attached to the project.
This update seems to be solely on the basis of a reporter for Deadline saying he heard word that a script for the movie is supposed to be handed in soon. Waititi is also working on an adaptation of the Alejandro Jodrowski/Moebius comic The Incal, so it's still up in the air as to what his next project actually is. I have my doubts this Akira movie is actually going to be made.

Is there any place to read (translated) opinions and thoughts about anime but from the Japanese? So tired of looking something up and seeing Americunts give there useless two cents on anything.

Tonight, I’m officially excited to watch Bakemonogatari from the beginning. If anything, I’m excited to see where the Monogatari rabbit hole takes me, since there are a bunch of seasons and spin-offs that are much different than what you see in the light novels, excluding the fan made doujinshis and parody manga made from it.

Either way, it should be fun.

Go on some 2ch threads and use DeepL to translate it or look for hashtags of the anime on twitter. People don't really document thoughts and opinions from Japanese people but based on the notorious shit taste of japs (just look at how popular isekai is in the last 5-7 years), I think you could really go without it.

Oshi no ko was interesting a shame about the rest of the manga.

So I just discovered this show called "Pole Princess" was a recent thing.

Synopsis said:
The story centers on Hinano, a very normal and mild-mannered 17-year-old girl. Since she was very young her grandmother ran a planetarium that Hinano loved, but one day Hinano found out that the planetarium would be closing down. Hinano worried about whether there was anything she could do for her grandmother and for the planetarium, and she coincidentally one day catches sight of a woman dancing on a pole under a starry sky. She gathers her friends and together they set up a stage in the planetarium to perform shows, and they jump into the world of pole dancing.
Episodes are 4 minutes long, and there's some movie coming out.

lolwut

Surprisingly enjoying Canada Isekai. The 3d eevee rip off was so bad it was hilarious.
I'm just hoping they'll keep on with the creating a cult bit instead of moving along too quickly.

If you find yourself on the verge of dropping it, just make sure to watch Kizumonogatari first. It's a prequel, so you don't have to watch it in release order (though it is strongly recommended to watch at least Bakemonogatari first).

They have to wait with the incal movie till everyone involved with zje comic is dead. Jodorowski is not only a great artist and film maker, he is also very very crazy.
I can see hiim not liking a trailer and call waititi a fag in an interview.

The Oshi no Ko first episode was fantastic but I kind of wish they pulled a Madoka and kept it as 3 separate episodes. They probably didn't because you'd most likely need another OP but it would've been cool. If it can keep up the quality it'll be AOTY easy (unless Dungeon Meshi comes out this year)

Finally finished the "first" episode (it's really a movie). It's just a massive setup for the actual plot, and a really convoluted one at that. But I'm happy to fall for the usual trick of having very lighthearted beginning only to become really fucking dark at the end (though not overly so).
