At 40 minutes we can see the american pilot animation of saint seiya nade in the 90's. Jesus it looks so fucking bad, americans will always ruin everything, it looks like shit and all concepts on it are so deturped and americanized it makes my skin crawl.

Even the recent live action seems decent next to it.
While it makes me cringe, I do find it very interesting from a historical perspective. I can't help but be curious about what impact it would have made on anime in the west and whether it would've been more popular than the butchered dub of the actual saint seiya anime that ended up being a thing in our reality.

Even if they reworked the pilot into something better, the impact would be meaningless outside USA to be honest, IIRC it was released in 1993/1994 in latin america so people there already got their better version. It would be like kinda similar to what happened to Power Rangers in brazil since years before it debuted here, Changeman was already broadcasted dubbed with other tokusatsu series before PR and people didnt care much like it was something original.

The impact of the first series is really strong, in Brazil people still love Saint Seiya and Dragon Ball to this day. I dont think this americanized version of Saint Seiya would have any impact outside US (and even then, this looks like He man lite or whatever kinda of cartoon was around there. So it would have to compete with the rest too).

It was more abou timing and how it looked (shurato and samurai warriors didnt had the same success here as saint seiya)

I finally watched all the Winter Animes of 2023 that I was watching. A total of 6 including one thats still airing which is Vinland Saga. The other 5 are:
- Onimai!
- DanMachi Season 4 Part 2
- Niggertoro Season 2
- Toma-chan is a Girl!
- The Iceblade Sorcerer shale rule the world
And I guess AOT Part 3. Not really since it was just an hour long. Overall, what an amazing season. Vinland Saga is really good and I'm glad its going to keep going till this summer. DanMachi S4 Part 2 is better than the first part. I just wish we had more of the mermaid girl. Still, that one episode with Ryuu's sisters getting killed was so awesome and badass. The sound design in that show is insane. I think its the same guy who worked on Fire Force's sound design. Speaking of which I will watch the 2nd season of that show on Blu ray. Niggertoro Season 2 on the other hand was great. I prefer Nagatoro being nice and teasing Senpai instead of bullying him. First season is good but season 2 was much better imo. But my favorite anime this season is Tomachan is a girl. Not only is it Anti-trans but its also fucking hilarious. I laughed tons of times throughout this show. Also the girls are hot asf. Real shame we wont get a season 2 because the manga ended. I loved these characters. Especially Miszu! Onimai! was insane asf. I'm surprised how much I liked it. Its funny and wholesome throughout as well having amazing animation. There's so much attention to detail in this anime. Also Mihari and her friend Kaede are 10/10 waifus

Oh and Iceblade Sorcerer fucking sucked. Finished all 12 episodes and it felt rushed. What the fuck was that anime? For Spring I'll watch Hell's Paradise and continue Vinland Saga.

"NOOOOOO!!! YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND, THOSE ARE THE WRONG KINDS OF REPRESENTATION!"
Trannies ironically only seem to view their representation as characters that go out of their way to say they're just gay femboys. Like, they love Astolfo, that one gay cat boy, and whatnot. But, actual trans characters like the tranny from Ixion Saga are viewed as "problematic" for one reason or another.

I hope none of those writers get bullied into making a character trans by Western "fans" like what retards did to the Black Butler chick. It's especially Americans. They're so fag-brained that all their media literacy just goes out the window any time there's even the slightest hint of an LGBT thing going on.

I watched Broly. I didn’t love what they did to Broly, would’ve liked for him to grow more unhinged as he fights and being more like DBZ Broly as the fight dragged on. The spectacle was fun and I liked the animation.

Paragus was actually a change for the better and his interactions with Frieza were pretty good. I liked him being speechless at the BS powerlevels, getting negg’d by Frieza, and genuinely conflicted as Broley loses/ powers up. His design was better.

I like the Buu Saga the best out of everything in DBZ so that might be why. It’s more like Dragon Ball than Z in terms of how shit happens.

Suffer and despair.

Lupin III vs Cat's Eye was a ton of fun. I started it last week and got sidetracked by IRL and just couldn't find the time to sit down and watch the movie. Great-looking as far as CGI movies go. Very stylized and the frame rate isn't as choppy as some. Everyone in both Cat's Eye and Lupin's gang gets some time to shine and do something cool. I was hoping Lupin would be a bit more TV Lupin here though. He's more of the romanticized Miyazki Lupin than the sorta skeevy one. Not a huge nitpick, but I just expected him to perv on the Cat's Eye sisters a bit. The ending leaves it fairly open for another crossover, like how the Conan crossover had a sequel. Then again, I wouldn't mind seeing Lupin dealing with another mystery, crime or thief manga series too.

Ryo Saeba from City Hunter showing up for like a minute at the start makes me want a Lupin III vs City Hunter next.

That would explain the lack of news on the new animated project, then?
Yeah. Kinda weird that the Sunrise TV anime adaptation they announced some years back hasn't had any updates. Then again, the Gundam SEED movie even had some updates last year. So. Who knows?

You know what's sad?
I fell asleep while watching "AKIRA" and I ignored the manga as a teen

You better watch it now, before you come across 1000 praise reviews, raise your expectations and be disappointed.
