I am looking forward to the Heavens Feel movies, I'm barely into UBW and already it's hype. It's explained things pretty well, picks up off from Fate Zero nicely, lots of callbacks, like Lancer wanting to kick the shit out of Saber because of last time; honestly this has lived up to the hype. I will watch Deen when I get to it, if only for the famous line:Fate is pretty cool. I wish there was a good version of Seiba+Shirou+Rin vs Herc from Fate (the 'Saber route' from the VN) animated. It's easily the hypest thing I've ever read, with the mood massively enhanced by The Legend Revived. Seeing the Saber Alter vs Herc fight in the Heavens Feel movies has me extremely hopeful that if Ufotable ever tackles the Fate route they'll do it justice. Salter vs Herc wasn't much of a fight in the VN but they bulked it out with a bunch of awesome nonsense spectacle for the movie and I really loved it. The Deen version of SSRvH just had me tilting my head and saying 'Wat."

I haven't watched it but I heard the Deen version also does the Archer v Herc fight that's just off-screened in the VNin favor of Shirou, Rin, and Saber having a threesome in a crack-shack they found in the woods. That'd probably be a fantastic fight for Ufotable as well.
If you want famous lines you should definitely read the VNI will watch Deen when I get to it, if only for the famous line:

I'd argue the first line is even better than the highlighted one, "Her lewdness is a great nightmare"
The funniest part about the sex scenes outside the Heaven's Feel ones is that they were phoned in by Nasu just because he was talked into it due to how porn sells well, that's why when FSN became a more successful franchise, there was a re-release that could just turn off the sex scenes. If you want famous lines you should definitely read the VN

Aside from Heavens Feel all of the sex scenes are among the greatest funny-bad moments in any media you could ever hope to find. Each one had me laughing so hard I was crying. The Heavens Feel ones are more 'appropriate' because there's actually a plot reason for them. The rest, if I'm not mistaken, were written by the illustrator who primarily did artwork for eroge
It's more that the creator of Squid game openly admitted to being inspired by Kaiji for his series, but Kaiji is completely different than Squid game as the games in Squid game are deliberately very simple so the characters and social commentary could be the focus while Kaiji's games are more complicated in comparison which is fun in its own way.So I happened to be watching a video on Japanese cyberpunk, and it mentioned an anime called Kaiji - which Squid Game was based off of.
This was news to me, so I'm going to check it out. Is this another case of Korea ripping off Japan because they can't create anything original on their own?
I love this incredibly stupid autist
I thought it was based on Battle Royale. Speaking of which, a few years ago they made a manhwa about swimming which looks like a Korean equivalent to Free!So I happened to be watching a video on Japanese cyberpunk, and it mentioned an anime called Kaiji - which Squid Game was based off of.

This technically belongs in the Korean thread, but I remember a certain thing a Korean-American homie once told me when I said I really liked K-Dramas.How many men cry in it? That seems to be the MO for Korean men. They are mostly giant pussies
Not sure, not much updates on the manhwa. I remember all the comparisons to Free back then. Here's the trailer though:How many men cry in it? That seems to be the MO for Korean men. They are mostly giant pussies
Death game/gambling stories were a niche subgenre before Kaiji and they're still around, though iirc a lot of the games are fairly similar between the two.So I happened to be watching a video on Japanese cyberpunk, and it mentioned an anime called Kaiji - which Squid Game was based off of.
