Man, Macross Delta is freaking great. I wasn't expecting anything going in, but the sheer WTF of the first episode had me hooked and the show has only gotten better since then. I kinda like how the plot is taking time to unfold rather naturally rather than using jumping right in.

This better be worth the 37 month wait.
Well it's got tanks, moe and a weird cameo from Thomas the Tank Engine's military cousin:

I need some recommendations for anime. Been reading a fair bit of manga recently (J, K and C to E translations) but want something animated. Preferably something funny.

Cromartie High School is my go-to comedy series, but I preferred the manga.
Nichijou, Great Teacher Onizuka, Golden Boy and Detroit Metal City are all great. Gintama looks funny and I hear it's great but holy fuck I don't want to watch 100000 episodes.

It's the only streams I could find available and the English dub is oddly appropriate for this show. I'm not too picky.
This isn't the thread for this kind of discussion but jesus christ dude you're triggering me so hard.

The Attack on Titan fandom is currently losing their shit over spoilers for the next chapter because
Armin pulled a suicide run on the Colossal Titan and had all his skin burned off by the heat generated from it.

autistic answer: nichijou

serious answer: not really sure what your type of humor is or how into anime you are so sorry if you've seen any of these, but--
aiura is a bunch of little 2-minute episodes that's surprisingly really funny.
chi's sweet home is a classic, also a bunch of shorts.
seitokai yakuindomo is full 24-minute episodes and it's one of the funniest anime i've ever watched. only if you're into weird sexual innuendos though.
if you want something story-driven that's still pretty humorous i'd go with a series like chuunibyou.
i also liked C3-Bu because of how fucking insane it got at points but i think it's a pretty niche anime (cute girls playing airsoft) so if you look into it and you don't think it's your cup of tea then i wouldn't bother. lovely complex is a bit older but it's one of my all-time favorite series and the anime is pretty great. it's shoujo/romance but all the characters are pretty hilarious.
working!! is also pretty fun.
i haven't personally watched either of them, but i heard a lot of good things about polar bear cafe and non non biyori.

if you're looking for stuff that isn't moeshit, cute girls doing cute things or slice of life though i'm probably not much help. the furthest i've ever strayed from those categories is the raildex series.

If you don't mind watching something really short, Space Patrol Luluco was a pretty funny show that came out this year.

That's a lot of Moe. I'll check some of these out. I have a pretty wide range of stuff I'll watch before I cringe.

How short is short?

4 - 5 minutes per episode, including the OP and ED, lol. But it's still worth checking out, even if you can watch the whole series in under an hour.

Sort of reminds me of Plastic Nee-san, in that regard.

Cuticle Detective Inaba. It's criminally underrated. (does do a lot of the typical anime 'it's funnier if we shout a lot' shit though)

I've heard that Sakamoto one that's airing right now is funny too, but I haven't watched that yet.

I found Orenchi no Furo Jijou amusing, but it's basically merman yaoi bait with wacky hijinks.
