Ok you depraved hentai loving excuses for human beings, I need to know something.

Is this an actual show or is it just some guys having way to much fun. It's says FAN EDIT at the top but I need to know because I haven't laughed so much in like 20 years. This shit is 100% pure gold and if it's real I need to find the rest of it.

Ok you may now go back to fapping to underage cat girl/boy things.

Thank you for your time.
Hellsing Abridged is by the Team4Star guys who have a thread in either Internet Famous or Multimedia. It wasn't bad when it started as a loving parody of Hellsing, but the issue was that it was a yearly series. So eventually they lost all their edge and the jokes became more predictable. One of them was a actual faggot who went hard SJW and ruined any love for the series. The last joke was literally Alucard telling everyone they are actually homosexual, not in a funny manner, but more of just felt like a bad SNL joke where it's trying to carry water for something.

The issue is that Hellsing is basically a Dark Fantasy series that's over-the-top and that's the charm. It already has comedy and Team4Star are the autists who take DBZ seriously. They hate the Buu arc because it's a return to Dragon Ball humor. Buu is literally a piece of Bubblegum that kills everyone because he's a childish asshole.

so, quick question. there exists some sort of database for english subs of anime? i have a specific anime that was dubbed in my language, but the last three episodes of it are apparently lost media or something in said dub, so i wanted to see if i can fill that empty slot with english subs.

I don't think the Hellsing Abridged was necessary, it was fine but it was mostly a literal redubbed series with some bad jokes added and not very transformative. I think the only abridged series that I would consider good are PurpleEyesWTFs None Piece and Code MENT (Code Geass). I think they are an acquired taste though since they are intentionally bad and filled with non sequiturs, sort of like a YTP more then a normal abridged series.

Example: Meryl doesn't shoot nor own any guns in Stampede. That's a literal downgrade from her original character where she owns a shit-ton of derringers because she can totally defend herself on a planet of gunslingers. Who'da thunk the original Trigun was much more feminist than the modern reboot?
THE FUCK

Screw Stampede, watch Madhouse's Winter 2023 offering instead:

Ayakashi Triangle and Nier are officially on hiatus since they sent some animation to be done in China. Covid really did fuck things up

Watched more episodes of Stampede and it really does feel like they're trying to shove entire huge volumes of the manga into one episode, while also cutting out lots of important things in between. In 2nd episode we have Vash being chased by the people he saved, encountering the crazy hillbilly family (whom he saves and they turn good), the sudden arrival of one of the Gung-Ho-Guns guys (who isn't even introduced, just one guy a crazy bomber appears), the arrival of Knives (who literally has knife based powers, quotes religious shit and laughs all crazy while he slices people with said knives) and Vash leaving after he slices up the city. In 3rd Episode, we have them meeting Wolfwood and already fighting Zazzie.

I've been reading through Vinland Saga lately and I'm close to being caught up (I think). I am really enjoying the series. However, one of the biggest curveballs (not from a plot angle but a storytelling one was the introduction of
Thorkell's transgender child.

Thorkell had a bastard son with an Irish woman and the woman out of fear that Thorkell would bring their son into battle said he was their daughter instead. Thorkell, being too dumb to even look at his own child, shrugged it off. The kid was raised as a girl but it soon became obvious he was male and almost looks exactly like his father. At one point his mother reveals that he was in fact a boy and lied to protect him. The character eventually decides to live as a female, though acknowledging he was a boy, and everyone just rolls with it.

Honestly, it's just one character and it doesn't derail the story terribly so, but it feels really jarring to say the least. If these chapters came out a decade or so ago, maybe it wouldn't have been as bad. I still enjoy the series though despite that.

Anime.com Inc. publisher and co-founder Michael Pinto reported on Twitter on Sunday that James (Jim) Kaposztas, a longtime Otakon staffer who was recognized in the U.S. anime fandom as the first known person to create an anime music video (AMV), has passed away

In 1982 when he was a 21-year-old college student, Kaposztas hooked up two VCRs to each other and used scenes from Space Battleship Yamato synced to The Beatles song "All You Need Is Love" to create the first known anime music video
