Officially finished watching Steins;Gate before the first official week of February 2023 started 😀

In all seriousness, though, I want to go by saying that episodes 20 and 22 were possibly some of the best well directed and well detailed episodes of the series.

From learning that Mr. Braun is actually FB aka Fredrich Braun and actually killed both Moeka and himself, while ending on the note that his daughter was waiting for him at his home to eat brunch and Kurisu (Christina) kissing Okabe before leaving Japan only to then come back and want to be with him again before the 1% mark on the device comes in so that Rintaro can time travel back before she was part of the group that does time travel experiments.

There‘s too much to point on here as to why those two episodes strike back to me as just a couple of the best episodes of this series, but make no mistake: Steins;Gate deserves the 9/10 mark without question.

Even seeing the way how Kurisu died because Okabe accidentally stabbed her while trying to kill her father before he did it and then finding out that Okabe almost sacrificed himself to lost some blood from his stomach area and use his fingers to seal his gut back closed was the most unexpected thing to witness for something made more than a decade ago.

Now much like me watching Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion for the first time, the thought still remains: I still have to watch Steins;Gate 0 in full sooner rather than later to see how Okabe is doing.

Still, great series all around. Near perfect if anything else.

0 isn't a sequel, so unfortunately you won't get to see how Okabe is doing. It's a spinoff of the Kurisu ending (not the True/Steins Gate ending). He's mostly just a sad scientist rather than a mad scientist (The Kurisu ending is Kurisu making the decision to sacrifice herself to save Mayuri and Okabe decides to respect her wishes/gives up rather than keep trying to save her, and then the credits roll)

Watch this (but don't watch through the credits, massive spoiler afterwards) and then watch 0, then 23, 24, 25 of Steins;Gate again

E: Actually, I guess the most accurate way to describe it is that it's a spinoff of the true ending from a worldline where the true ending wasn't ready to occur that builds into the true true ending (kinda)

Tangentially related, Committee of Zero got hacked and apparently they're working on a bunch of Science Adventure related stuff that they weren't ready to announce just yet, including the Steins;Gate spinoffs (though they're way off in the horizon). More interesting to me, they're working on translating the Chaos; sequels which I believe are parodies of date sims, rather than just cleaning up the official releases (since I assume those will never get released). They also just released their Chaos;Head patch which led to double the number of concurrent players on Steam as it had on launch day

Just caught up with the last few chapters of Ranger Reject. I’m wondering if there’s more weird body swap/replacement stuff going on again. D being in the center of some massive conspiracy/huge ass thing while also having absolutely no idea about it is pretty entertaining.

I’m shocked that I’m finding out about this almost three days later. This is genuinely one of the biggest examples of a man who loved his hobby of creating AMVs and actually not wanting to have the fame take over his head.

As someone who used to love watching mash up videos of music being played in the same time as the anime scenes of characters fighting and doing funny things, this was just sad to read. He will be missed, as even he admitted that he just loved doing it as a hobby.

I just started Undead Unluck and i'm really enjoying it so far. The comic store in my city (we have two, an indie shop and a Forbidden Planet, which is basically just a Funko warehouse now) has a huge array of manga and I just grabbed it my chance because it was on offer. I love the dynamic between the two protagonists, it's cute.

New trailer and promo art for Gridman Universe dropped.

>"Wow you're here late, what did you want to talk about?"
>"I'm going to confess to Rikka"
>[Logo]
>"That's a kaiju!"
>"Why are kaiju appearing again? Akane's not here anymore"
>"You're the one that's been fighting together with Gridman?"
>"Seems like we've gotten lost"
>"Multiverse! That means there isn't just one universe, but many!"
>"I don't know why, but the balance of this world is being destroyed"
>"So that means..."
>"This world's going to end"
>[Song]
>"I'm only 16, I don't want the world to end yet"
>"I'm not Gridman, but is there anything I can do?"
>"Will you fight with me once more?"
>"So Yuuta's going to [get involved] again"
>"Sorry, Second, I don't have a choice!"
>"YOMOGI!"
>"I have a lot of things I want to say to Garma"
>"Why is Hibiki..."
>"I'm going to say it! I'm going to confess!"
>"Yuuta!"
>"Where are you, Gridman?"
>[Title screen]
>"Thank you, my friends"

You're in for a great ride. The starting chapters are bit at one in a while, but it's overall kino. By the way, the story is almost towards it's end at the moment, & an anime was confirmed some time ago, so I recommend catching up soon.

5Th episode of Stampede, Vash and Wolf fight against Monoth the Gale (like it's supposed to be him), who turns out was a kid that Vash knew and was experimented on in a similar way as Wolfwood was which made him a huge and buff. Oh, ye, Wolfwood isn't part of some religious sect, instead, he's a by-product of this scientist guy that works for Knives and established a cult in his name one who made Wolfwood, Livio, and Gale. And again, there wasn't a massive build-up of the Gung-Ho-Guns thing, both Zazie and this guy just appear and wanna wreck Vashe's shit, and in both cases, it's Wolfwood who makes the killing blow.

I still have to watch Steins;Gate 0
Oof.

With every episode I wonder just who the show was made for. Can't be for the fans, so far the original outclasses it in every way. Stampede only wins in the "shitty dreamworks smile" department. One of the biggest losses has been in the OST department. Not one track has stuck with me or given me future-western vibes, the show is divorced from its soul.

I wanna say it was made for the younger aka newer crowd, them taking huge inspiration from MCU, the cheap budget Netflix-looking animation, removing huge chunks of the story and borderline rushing through the story and character stuff.

Also, can I just say I hate Knife's stupid-ass robe that he wears all the time or the fact he has knife-based powers.

It's basically "how do you do, fellow kids" lite.

Ok it's been a minute since I've visited this thread.
.Took a slight pause on the Zeta Gundam binge but have my stop point noted.

Kaguya Sama S3: this has sat in my watch list at episode 10 for far too long until a buddy told me the movie is hitting theaters, and so I'm going with him. Watched it, loved it, now I'm rewatching the whole series and laughing my ass off before the 15th hits (have no idea how I'm getting up for work on Thursday)

Steins Gate: my zoomer ass didn't know what I was missing. Starts out slow, but by ep 9, shit is going down hard, and you're beginning to understand scientist bro ain't that crazy.

Just wondering, is anyone keeping up with Yomi no Tsugai? Arakawa's new shonen.
I read the first 3 chapters when it first came out and thought it had a decent start. but put on the backburner since monthly shonen series are the last kind I want to follow chapter by chapter. But now there's about 3 volumes out so I'm tempted to see if she can make another action series again.
