Panty & Stocking S2 is unreal, I never really expected it to happen because I didn't expect Trigger to get the rights or for them to feel it's worth it after a decade+

Very glad to be wrong but it feels very surreal and "pinch me"

Meanwhile the happiness over that is cooled by the disappointment in the new Trigun, why would they bring it back only to turn it into THAT!?

And designs aside, I strongly, strongly dislike CG anime, it's never been a style I've liked all the way back to the days of the Appleseed movie, there's just something about it that makes me shut off, CG anime can only work if the characters are realistic ala Spirits Within, Final Flight of The Osiris and those Starship Troopers movies, THAT can be cool, but just something going for a middle ground between 2D and 3D I find impossible to jibe with, it's only acceptable if it's a video game, not something you're supposed to watch.

Some might feel different but for me it's just a style I find highly off putting.

As I recall, the manga is posted kinda weird in terms of what’s considered a “chapter”, and it also does this thing where it posts chapters twice: the “webcomic” and the “official chapter”.

Been a while since I read it, so I may be getting things mixed up a bit.

Yeah I'm cautiously optimistic since like I'm happy it's back but I worry it will become some serialized story and lose the humor of the original or have some fucking aliens for no reason

I think it started as a webcomic on twitter then got picked up for a official release early on but I could be wrong, Rqardless the chapters where just 1 page a day and that will drove anons up the wall at times, especially when the author took a break for a month or two (iirc the whole thing comes to 7-8 standard volumes)

Speaking of which if anyone remember this ancient thing, 8 shows have officially been announced/already aired

I really do love just how batshit insane a premise some anime/manga have, especially when they can actually make it work.

Wouldn't mind a new Angel Densetsu anime tbh, especially since there's been a slight uptick in adapting older works, but one miracle at a time.

Out of all these, the only one hasn't got an anime adaptation yet, but I'd like to watch if it ever happens, is Dungeon Meshi. One of the few fantasy story that isn't pseudo JRPG or isekai. I like author creativity using food made from monsters based on irl dishes. They even have an PV to advertise manga vol 8.

Prunus girl, kinda old (late 2000s - early 2010s) trap theme manga, I still remember big earthquake in Japan 2011, actually let one chapter looks like sketch and not fully inked. But for real, I wouldn't wish it's being an anime in this whole current days.

That Yotsuba being made by Gainax, it's like this person runs an random studio name generator and just slaps it on Yotsuba.

Well, at least their latest BNA anime is more grounded and doesn't have aliens in it.

Trigger has like 10% success rates so it's not impossible it will be good and not forgettable or up it's own ass.

I'd still bet on aliens appearing.

4 koma usually adapt better to anime than regular manga

Massively off topic but shilling this site. I was updating my personal archives and found that a good quarter had been deleted by Irodori, DCMA had claimed galleries that were 7 years old and thought lost forever. This site is a back up of everything copyright struck by Irodori and others since 2014 on e-hentai. Just last month, they wiped out a series people spent months on just because they brought the rights to it.

But it's also Irodori abusing copyright and deleting work that's already translated, work that people spent nights on for the sole fact that people could enjoy it, the basis of the whole fan translation side of manga. It's also about not having a central archive like e-hentai was supposed to be to access things that could be lost. No, now they must be behind a paywall because someone wants to make money off this community.
 
I thought that season 2 of mushou tensei would come out in 2024 since the season 1 took 2 years to produce I just hope the quality doesn't stagnate.

I suppose this was either predicting future anime or just trolling, or possibly both, but, if KyoAni ever did more K-On!, they'd be better off doing the alternate school spin-off Shuffle than either of the direct sequel manga which really aren't that great.

Probably unfortunate timing, since I presume this was made before the arson attack. Getting a pair of Intrigues of Haruhi Suzumiya movies with the late Shoko Ikeda as chief animator, character designer, and animation director would have been especially wonderful.
