I’ve currently read up to 220 chapters of Yamada-kun and The Seven Witches, and for the last few days to a week, this is currently the longest I’ve ever gone not watching anime that I currently watch.

Now, I’m curious as to what the next 23 chapters will be like.

Dont know if this has been posted yet.

One Punch Man is getting a Hollywood live action adaptation. The writers of Jumanji 3 and Venom are making the script. Justin Lin, who's mostly known for Fast and Furious movies, is directing.

I dont know how to feel about this. Anime live action film adaps are just never good to me. Maybe Battle Angel Alita but that was the only one.
As far as I'm concerned, the only animes that ought to get live action adaptions are those that have more realistic design. Since this anime/manga doesn't meet that qualification, I guarantee it will be awful.

And yet the Japanese will probably nod their heads in agreement, hiding the tears inside for not admitting how they REALLY feel.

It's just Hancock though.

i remember watching it on Jetix. it was a decent show. the best anime show on Jetix was still Medabots.

the intro always hypes me up.
I never liked how they didn't bother to bring over any of the games it was based on until after the show ended. Felt like such a wasted oppertunity, and is probably why we never saw any more after that initial blitz.

Could work since it's just a comedy. Don't know if i trust hollywood to make a decent adaptation though.

McDonald’s Japan is celebrating the popular Mobile Suit Gundam anime with a special “Char Aznable” menu. The special menu is comprised of a Spicy Double Cheeseburger, Red Garlic Teriyaki Burger, Newtype White Torichi (a triple cheeseburger with three slices of white cheddar), and a Double Cheese Sausage Muffin.

On top of the sandwiches, there will also be two drinks, the McFiz Red Energy Flavor and the McFloat Red Energy Flavor. Adding to the red theme, Gundam graphics of mobile suits that Char Aznable has piloted appear on the wrapping paper, boxes, and cups. Check out a preview of the TV spot, featuring Char Aznable’s voice actor Shuichi Ikeda, in the video above.

This menu will be released in Japan on June 22 with prices ranging from ¥250 – ¥440 JPY (approximately $1.85 USD – $3.30 USD).

I don't remember who recommended Paripi Koumei but after finally getting around to watching it I'm really liking what I'm seeing. It's comfy, has some good laughs and some real eye popping animation at times. 10/10 I love ancient chinese warlords now.

Fun fact the anime is a (very) loose adaption of the 2nd pair of gameboy games in a videogame series(the store clerk/phantom renegade is the first game's protagonist). The 2nd pair of games they were based on were remade for the GBA and officially translated into English. These are the only non-spinoff Medabot(called Medarot in Japan) titles to be released outside of Japan. The game series is still around in Japan to this day, often having multiple installments on whatever the newest Nintendo handheld is.

Just saw the first Macross Frontier film (even if theater problems prevented me from witnessing the first fifteen or so minutes).

Man, seeing mecha fights on the big screen is really something. And it only took decades for this franchise to be localized.

Oh boy

I kinda hope this is fake because I know a Trigun remake is gonna wind up as a netflix or adult swim "original" and I know there are parts in Maximum that be the FOMO outrage for twitter and some translators.
But at the same time there are also parts in Maximum I really want to see animated

Edit: Ah fuck it is

It looks like its gonna be by Orange so expect Beastars and Land of the Lustrous CGI quality
And god damnit its gonna be a CR "original"

Replying to own post to say that I finished reading this and now I’m debating whether or not to watch the anime version. Yamada had a nice ending when compared to Domestic Girlfriend, which actually made me both laugh and curse a lot due to mental anguish.

It even had a special edition where Miki Yoshikawa even switched the characters genders while not realizing that the new story was told by one of Yamada’s friends, Otsuka, who was an aspiring manga artist. If anything, it was slightly meta in my opinion.

Finally, a meal to make you three times fatter than regular McDonalds!

I remember not liking Macross Frontier but loving the movies for some reason. I think because they condense the parts of the show I liked and cut out all the fluff/boring stuff I didn't like. And they are beautiful to watch too, of course.

They’re gonna play it 100% serious, I know it.
