The fucking fact that Naruto pisses on a glorious sacrifice scene by playing god and bringing Guy back from the dead brings out my indignation.

I don't know if it counts as a scene but the fact everyone forgives orochimaru, and he's just a normal character in Boruto. Such a lazy happy ending.
 
I never read Naruto, but I do read Boruto and enjoy it a lot. I really like Naruto father presence to Kawaki.

Oh, you mean they got even edgier? All that's missing is for Kawaki and Boruto to kill over 80% of the population and each other. All the while wearing all black and talking about fucking Sarada's dead body.
 
the part that pissed me off the most about Naruto was he and Sasuke being recantation of two demi-gods. the story of a young boy trying to win the approval of his village through hard work is actually talented, born from a privilege's family, son of a village chief AND A RECARNATION OF A DEMI-GOD!? GEEZ, THE WORLD SHOULD BEND ITS KNEE AND SUCK HIS COCK AT THIS POINT!

shippuden quickly lost the edge the original series had and the steaks have never been lower. i blame it on Kishimoto having a child during the series run and in turn, made him soft and lose his edge. half of shippuden feels like it was a love latter to his child with naruto meeting his mom that so happen lived inside him the entire time. same with Gaara meeting his dad.

If anything, was their extermination justified? From a pragmatic standpoint, they were ticking time bombs. So, yeah, I don't exactly disagree that they needed to be neutralized. I mean, holy shit, Sasuke was literally the average Uchiha in mind and body. The attitude problems, the superiority complex, the self-importance. They get their power up from loving themselves too much, for crying out loud. :story:

I said before and will say it again, Kishimoto making Itachi look "good", made everyone worse.
 
Might Guy and Rock Lee are the only two characters that I remember from that cesspool of a manga who actually did reach great heights while having no special bloodline connections. Just hard work and practice.

I'm gonna go with the classic and say Leaf Village revival at the end of the Pain arc. This was the OG reversal of a meaningful sacrifice, what a fucking disappointment. I'd even say that this is where the coolest guy and Guy resurrection stem from, because both are thematically present here.

Kawaki killed Boruto trying to save Naruto, he is going full Narutotard, even Naruto feels kinda weird about it, having its own son killed while being saved. It is interesting.
