create a villain so strong you have to turn not just 1 but both of the protagonists into ninja jesus just to defeat him, effectively killing the narrative you spent the last 10 years and 600 chapters trying to build up.

I started watching "Skeleton Knight in Another World" and "Love After World Domination." Both are really enjoyable so far. Both of them have beatiful animation and have made me laugh several times. The opening in Skeleton Knight is probably one of the best anime ops of all time. That shit is just badass asf. Its an isekai anime with gore and action. Love After World Domination has this power ranger parody feel to it but the action in it is better than most action animes nowadays. Its a romance comedy and I love romance animes. Animes like Nagatoro or The Duke of Death and His Maid are just so good.

I should also mention the waifus in both of them. They both have top tier waifus in them, especially the elf girl in Skeleton Knight. And the main girl in Love After World Domination wears lingerie as her main outfit. Check them out.

And whats funny is that neither of them beat Madara. Instead Black Zetsu pulled some bullshit out his ass about using the Uchiha and Uzumaki fighting against each other on purpose for years. All to bring back Kaguya who was never mentioned until the last few volumes of the entire series.

Boruto was literally made to fill up that gigantic plot hole and nothing else.
Started reading Digimon V-Tamers manga. Its been quite nostalgic so far.

I'm gonna go read it right now. Really digging the aesthetic.

Skeleton Knight is fun as fuck honestly. Ponta is best boy, or girl IDK. Sentai romcom may actually surpass Kaguya for me this season, it's the 2nd show I'm the most excited for every week after Shachiku-san.

Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games Is Tough for Mobs. This and Spy x Family are the best shows out currently

The issue with Mobseka is that while the story is not half bad, & the MC is a bit of a giga-chad (for now), the animation is really bad. The artstyle is kinda shit, specially how everyone has bug eyes.

I heard about the first episode having a warning due to a particular scene and thought there'd be some sort of backlash, but there wasn't. It's interesting how certain shows get shat on for having villains do horrendous things, but people are okay with it if it's a show they like. There was a show that recently aired, "The Itaden Deities Know Only Peace" that had similar content and it was based on a manga from the guy who did Interspecies Reviewers with character designs from the Dragon Maid creator. Luckily that one flew under the radar. It had a great opening:

So far I'm watching:
Ascendance of a Bookworm, Couple of Cuckoos, Deaimon, Kunoichi Tsubaki, Miss Shachiku and the Little Ghost Shikimori-san and Spy x Family. But I plan on watching Power Ranger falls in love with Rita Repulsa, Bob the Builder Kaiji, RPG Real Estate, Shield Hero 2, Annoying Healer Girl and the Mob anime.

Are we talking as bad as the "Orient" artsyle was? I liked that show despite the shitty adaptation it got.

Let's just say that in the Otome adaption, do not look at the eyes of the characters. They're off-putting at times.

so the breaker is back after seven years but, it's in a webtoon format so i immediately lose interest in it.

Worse of all ruining, Obito's sacrifice to become Tobi in the most lamest obvious plot twist in manga history.

Seems like the anime is using the light novel designs, like how the spider isekai did it too.
You're right, the light novel illustrations are great but it doesn't really fit an adaption on a low budget.
The voice actor choice was also bad imo, but considering the character ages they might change it for season 2.

Basically the problem with Naruto for me was that the Haku and Chuunin Exam arcs set up a world where team work and fundamentals are at least as important as super secret technics and who your family is but that immediately gets fucking dumpstered. By the end of the series Naruto and Sasuke only EVER succeed because their bloodlines and them learning sage mode shit in extraordinarily short training arcs. Most of the cast are just rendered completely fucking irrelevant by the beginning of Shippuden so why spend any time on them at all?

Probably the worst sin is how Pain's attack on Kohana and the 4th Shinobi war render death in the plot utterly meaningless because no one stays dead but you're still expected to care. Kishimoto couldn't even let Might Guy die when his death was the end of his arc, he had to live so that he can be a cripple under a tree somewhere and drink beers with Kakashi.

I read Baruto up until Baruto defeated a villain no one else could because his rasengan he figured out how to do in 20 minutes spontaneously becomes undetectable because reasons so the villain couldn't just be immune to it. After that I was done.

I was more pissed he got randomly offed/beat by a fodder side villain and then random space alien looking woman was the final enemy.

Seriously, fuck Kishimoto for that. Shit was awful.

I read Alabaster. Thank you for the recommendation. What a ride! The beginning is based as fuck
- nigger proposes to a woman, gets rejected
- strangles her
- she escapes
- he steals a car
- chases her despite not knowing how to drive
- kills a pedestrian, doesn't give a fuck about it
- gets 5 years in prison for killing the guy and driving without a license (not for attacking the woman or stealing the car)
- "bawww the world discriminates against me just because of my skin color"
You weren't kidding about based, holy shit. Seconding thanks for the good stuff. This is probably my favorite introduction of an FBI agent in a manga:

They are literally all the same "plot". I kid you not. Every single one feels like you're watching the same ass movie. :stress:

And, every fucking time, Naruto uses some unique variation (read; non-canon) of Rasengan like he was a clown doing party tricks.
Bro, that's true for every shone movie. It's always the same "here is a one time love interest that you can only save by beating this rando with a special attack you'll never use again".
