The best part about it is that there is an episode the creators made to specifically get banned.

It included foul language, nudity, gratuitous violence, graphic sexual content, some of it involving loli and it was a minute too long for broadcast.
They also made that Puni Puni Poemy OVA that was a parody of magical girl anime, right?

Yup.

That ended up banned in New Zealand if I remember rightly.

On the note of parody animes, I again recommend Miss Kuroitsu. Their send ups of superhero tropes, including Magical Girls, is pretty spot on

Was about to post how i'd been watching it, it's been a fun series to keep up with. I'd put money on the redhead in the goon temp agency being Kuroitsu's sister or something

I feel seasonal anime has been poor for a while (especially as I dont really watch much that runs for a long time) so its nice to get something that hooks me

Fuck fuck fuck fuck fuck

RIP Yang Wenli, you were a true chad who only lost because you were put in shitty positions by his superiors. Hopefully you at least put a baby in your wife before leaving this mortal coil.
It was hard watching the episodes after it, at least a civil war within the empire will slightly remove the bitter taste of getting blindsided by reverse scientologists.

So, have read through a translation of Kouya ni/no Kemono Doukoksu, or as I got from Google Translate, "Beasts in the Wilderness", I enjoyed it. Strange series, with a bit of a warped story involving Mayan history, New Guinean ritual cannibalism, and genetic modification, but it was interesting, and the art was good. If any other Kiwis want to ask about it, feel free to. Would be happy to leave my thoughts.

Also...monkey girl, (Mako-Chan) best girl in series. Other waifus too, but I prefer one that'll pick the lice out of my scalp for a snack.

I've been watching Love of Kill/Koroshi Ai. Two assassins, one of French descent and the other Korean, meet up and face off only to have the guy say that he's in love with her. It's definitely based on a shoujo manga since the guy is a pushy stalker. He's demands that she spend time with him in exchange for information and the Korean guy has an attitude that changes from annoyingly corny, overbearingly pushy to downright dangerously obsessive. The criminal backstory and violence keep the show from becoming your typical oil and water romance, but it's not that bad. The woman seems to reject his advances, but I'm sure she'll warm up to him and fall in love, as is typical with certain shoujo stories. This anime season has definitely been a slow one.

i feel like i am not imaging there were 3 movies of the original Gundam show but with better looks than the ones in the early 80's, am i wrong?

What, you mean the Mobile Suit Gundam compilation films before Char's Counterattack? Specifically, Mobile Suit Gundam and Mobile Suit Gundam: Soldiers of Sorrow from 1981 and Mobile Suit Gundam: Encounters in Space from 1982. They combined existing footage from the TV series with new footage produced for the big screen, especially for scenes that Tomino felt could be improved now that they weren't limited to a TV budget.

It was on a dvd and the characters less grainy (maybe not the best term)

Best i can explain is they looked more like the second or third one in this image

Oh, no, WataMote fans: Ucchi died and is now a ghost haunting... wait, why is Ghost Ucchi on Yuri's bed instead of Tomoko's?

From WataMote Chapter 201 part 2:

Actually, it's almost a complete reunion of Tomoko's group from the Kyoto trip sans Emiri Uchi so Yuri's just imagining Ucchi also being there, Ucchi is not dead and probably not astral projecting either.

Honestly, the only Gundam movie I've seen with Char is Char's Counterattack so I have no idea how the earlier compilation movies look on DVD. My only point in replying before was to tell you, "yes, they exist".

I don't know if this is the right thread for this, but have any of you ever wondered by the way Naruto and Boruto is written, that Kishimoto doesn't want to be held accountable for how much he fucked up his family life?

His brother wants nothing to do with him, his own son is the same. Jury's out on his wife, but considering how he wrote Sakura, it really makes the noggin joggin'.

He actually talked about how all of Jump office, specially females & his own wife gave him mean looks cause NaruSaku didn't became a thing. This was specially from Ms. Kishimoto because he based Sakura off her, yet she's considered the worst character in the series by many.

I read somewhere that Naruto and Sasuke's not-gay relationship was somewhat based on the one he has with his brother and the gay ending was him trying to cope with his family life at least in pretend manga land. Dude just wants to chill with his bro and that's respectable.

You ever wonder if there's a good reason why his brother isn't too fond of him?

I was wondering which english translation of the Jojo Bizarre Adventure Manga is recommended? I looked in two books (both being volume 1 of part 1 and the phrasing was different in both)
