So, I'm a filthy casual despite my avatar, but I feel like this is the opposite of what I was expecting. So, they are going to keep the Crunchyroll brand and ditch the Funimation brand? Has the Funimation brand become that toxic (I mean to casuals not weebs), or is something else at play here?

Crunchyroll was always the bigger name with more brand recognition. I’m not surprised that it’s the service that’s allowed to keep its identity.

I wouldn't be too surprised if Sony uses the Funimation branding solely for physical media releases going forward.

The manga for Dead Dead Demon’s Dededededestruction ended yesterday with their final chapter.

As far as Japanese fans of the manga is concerned, the final volume and chapter for the series will be shipped on March 30th. There’s also an “important announcement” that will happen on March 23rd, but much has not been said about it.
 
Jahy-sama chapter 71 finally answers the question of who the "ghost" was playing music in the next room (keeping Jahy awake) from chapter 22 (adapted into a segment of episode 7 of The Great Jahy Will Not Be Defeated! anime).

In doing so, it also answers another major question I've been pondering about Jahy-sama, namely what happened to Jahy's servants when the Dark Realm was destroyed.

This chapter really make it clear how much Jahy has grown too. If this were to happen earlier in the story she would be fuming that the lackeys are successful when she's a bum.
 
Is it me or is trying to plow through the remaining chapters of Kaguya-sama a bad idea? Originally a high-school rom-com now turned into some arranged-marriage mafia stuff that is getting me bored and the only reason I am continuing is because of Hayasaka until the latest chapter, which effectively made the supposedly-gag moment between her and Chika into an actual hint for them becoming lesbians. It's rare for me to drop but I am getting very close to dropping it.
 
Is the fate anime series worth getting into? I noticed its really popular on myanimelist (or some of them at least) but I'm too autistic to figure out the watch order
 
3/4 into Legend of the Galactic Heroes, I have to say the interest in it went down pretty hard after the halfway mark. The whole empire storylines feels stagnant and interesting ideas (like fighting a space cult) are criminally underutilized, though they might pop back up to spice things up.

I also realized what really annoyed me about the Democracy in the series - Democracy isn't just having elections for a government, it's having the government be comprised of multiple bodies that are at odds with one another constantly. The show portrays democracy as having a single tyrant controlling half the universe at all times, rather than being a huge system of senates, government, judges and tons of bureaucrats that makes having any big decision be painfully slow and potentially filled with self interest. Events like the surrender wouldn't have happened because it would have taken several days for the government to decide anything.
The show also tries to have it's cake and eat it by criticizing leaders for preaching war while being safe in the back lines, but also preaching about the danger of having a military command in the government.

Supposedly you have to start with Fate/Zero as it's a prequel, but others are going "Fuck no, not all prequels need to be started first" and direct you to Unlimited Blade Works to avoid the 2006 anime.

I kinda tried to follow a watch order, but I lost it years ago because Fate/Zero didn't impress me and I saw a bit of UBW but I was just "Meh". The next time I return to the Fate series, I've decided I'm going by broadcast order, which means starting with Fate/stay night in which I can hear the purists screech just for saying that. Makes it easier on myself to just see the progression of quality as the years go by.
 
Is it worth watching KareKano after Episode 18? I heard Anno dropped out of the show after that episode and it went downhill from there.

Might as well finish it for completionist's sake, though you can jump to the manga afterwards if you still like it. I didn't mind the change in quality too much since by then, it was nearing the end, though I do wonder if all of that after episode 19 was anime-only since the manga was still on-going.

It led me to joining a gym & becoming a Kengan fan. Being a Kengan fan makes this show genuinely better, due to it being in the same universe.

We genuinely need a 2nd season.

Tho I do remember some people saying the manga turns bland after a while.

It's honestly better to just read the VN for FSN since the anime adaptations are a bit messy either due to time restraints or staff being autists on how to portray certain characters.

Like I recommend to read the VN and watch Zero afterwards.

But if you want to watch anime only then start with 2006 FSN -> then Ufotable's Unlimited Blade Works and Heaven's Feel movies. Zero should be watched last since it was intended to be watched after experiencing FSN (to the point when the anime first aired there was a campaign to get people to read the VN in Japan).

I know it's an autistic tirade but it's because Zero has some inconsistencies as a prequel especially making Saber a complete retard who doesn't understand war.
 
The problem with Fate series anime adaptations, and pretty much all VN and light novel adaptations I imagine, is that there's always going to be characterisation that can't be carried over into anime form cause it's just a different medium. For example there's a part in the VN where Shirou thinks to himself he doesn't have the right to enjoy a fun trip to the shopping district because of his PTSD but in anime form they can't just make him inner monologue those sort of moments all the time.
 
Unpopular opinion here, but I actually think Fate/Kaleid Liner Prisma Illya is one of the better Fate adaptations, alongside Zero and Heaven's Feel.

If you can look past all the uncomfortable lolicon stuff, it's actually pretty well put together, and its film, Oath Under Snow, is easily one of my favorite entries in the entire franchise.

When it isn't loli/yuri-baiting then yes. My only issue is that they never had a scene with Berserker despite being one of the strongest relationships in the VN (even if it being told after both of them die in one of the routes).
