The Inuyasha sequel being terrible is very on-brand with the original. Jokes aside I liked Inuyasha but everything after the Band of the Seven became a blur in my memories and all I remember was the sensation that things were mostly drab, dull and dragged forever. It didn't help that Inuyasha was part of the 2000's neko kawaii uguu otaku culture and those memories will never stop haunting me.

I feel you

I remember the final episode, it gave zero closure. It made me swear off Shonen garbage due to the fact that it's nearly all filler.

Maximum amount of episodes I'll sit through for a series is 65, anything over that almost always is ass.

Binged the first half of new Jojo on Netflix. Shit's pretty good, but so was previous season until they got to an endless boss rush. Nice that it doesn't shy away from the usual violence even with the female cast. Jotaro is a pretty shitty dad.

The Joestar bloodline is both a blessing and a curse. You get a badass bloodline with various fighting sets but get shitty relatives as a result.

I think they went back and actually did episodes for the final chapters of the manga once it finished.

Every dad in Jojo is either absent or shitty, come to think about it. Seriously, are there any good dads in that series?

Pretty much same. Unless it’s a recommendation from someone I trust whose tastes are similar to mine, I simply see no value in watching anything beyond the 60-80 episode range, it would literally have to be an 11/10 for it to be worth my time.

The only good dads were Joseph to Holly. Also Part 8 had good dads since Norisuke is a good dad to all his kids except Joshu, and Jobin was a good dad. Johnny was also a good father given he went far to help his son at the cost of his life (Part 8 Spoilers).

But in terms of Parts 1-6, I can’t really think of other good fathers like I was tempted to say Kira’s dad but I’m not sure that enabling your son’s murder spree is good parenting.

Its highly implied that Pucci and his remnants are constantly fucking with Jotaro and his family, so he has to travel around the world to fuck them up completely. It leads to him being estranged from his daughter. This is evidenced by the fact when Pucci is fucking erased from existence Jotaro is still married and has a good relationship with Joylene.

Jotaro also does it to try and distance Joylene from the Joestar curse except Pucci ensnares her to lure Jotaro out and exploits his weakness for Joylene to kill him.

I honestly think Part 6 has a REALLY good ending, its just too rushed to have time to digest things and the idea that lol everyone is dead and Pucci wins is completely antithetical to Araki's writing style and general message. I do think its brilliant, it just didn't get the time to breathe that it deserved and sadly I don't think it will.

It's not a bad ending per se but I really fucking hate reset buttons so I didn't like it too much.

Alright so. Im getting into bleach a little bit, and im wondering when the best time to stop anime and manga wise is. Before everything goes to filler and writing arc hell.

In my opinion, stop before the Soul Society. The best Bleach was monster of the week instead of power level bullshit.

Manga-wise? I'd recommend either pre-Soul Society to keep it grounded fun, or stopping after the Arrancar arc. The Lost Agent Arc seems great at first, until it's "big twist" kicks in & shits the bed, with a transformation, that looks good, but never gets used later ever again due to the reason behind the transformation gets solved by plot armor. Thousand Year Blood War just sucks ass. It seems good at some starting chapters, but is even worse than Lost Agent & Kubo himself has some editor stories of it.

I'm not lying here, I spent 4 days reading all the 700+ chapters to know this myself. And that's after 4 days of reading Naruto.

Anime-wise? Just get the kino OST by Shiro Sagisu & enjoy.

From what I can remember watching up until the end of the Arrancar arc is pretty fun and I find Soul Society ends in too much of a cliffhanger to not continue into. Really enjoyed Soul Society and it's probably my favorite, but Arrancar had enough fun characters (both villain and main cast) that I enjoyed it though I still couldn't stand Orihime but I just don't like her as a character.

Keep in mind that you might want to look up what the filler in the anime was because I remember it getting annoying eventually with how much it would cut away from the nice fights/action to random unrelated crap that did nothing. Would also recommend checking out the movie Memories of Nobody which I remember being fairly good if bittersweet, isn't canon (I think) so you can watch it once you get passed Soul Society just to know all the characters.

Up to Soul Society. The Arrancar arc isn't very good in my opinion and everything that comes afterwards is drastically worse, maybe not so much at first. If Bleach had ended at SS it would've easily been a 8/10 manga.

Even so, ending at Arrancar would've made it around 7-7.5/10. It's everything else later that fucks up.
