Oh yeah, apparently the next Digimon Asventures Tri came out last week. Apparently something happened that messed some people up.

Digimon Tri was such a fucking bore i was barley able to finish the first episode. my ability to care about care crap is low even when nostalgia is powering it and oh no a character that was importunate for one season is now the bad guy for reasons that will be terrible done. not going to lie i had completely forgotten tri existed until the its dub of first episode happen. a bad sequel to the original digimon anime shouldn't come as a surprise by now.

Welp, Mob Psycho 100 is over. All in all, it was pretty fantastic and I really enjoyed it, storywise it was very much a story told by ONE and visually it was a banquet. Its minimal usage of CG animation and reliance primarily on traditional animation really helped push it, and it had a lot of visual styles and techniques that were really awesome. When it comes stateside I'll probably buy it.

In JoJo news, Part IV's getting a Japanese live action movie!

I'm cautiously optimistic for it.

i not surprised that they choose to do part 4 since JoJo has the gall to have a diverse cast of characters from around the world. plus it would be easier to make a thriller in one city then a grand adventure across the world. i have my doubts, iif its only one moive how the hell are they going to abridge the story? i have a feeling its going to be a bit of a mess.

The title of the movie includes "Chapter 1" so it's likely it won't be the only one.

Why part 4 though?
They could've made an incredible part 3 movie, skipping the unimportant stand fights and making DIO's World longer.

I know there were rumors going around for awhile that Stardust Crusaders was getting a live-action movie and Kento Yamazaki would've play Jotaro instead. With the globetrotting plot and diverse cast, that would've been a financial nightmare. DiU is really the only part I could see as a movie.

And the special effects. Dear lord, you're going to need ten times the budget of whatever Lord of the Rings had.

Part 1 would make for a good movie, I think.
But they're probably spooked after the last (animated) one was so bad.

I wouldn't ever want to see part 1 adapted as a movie by the Japanese simply because the Japanese would objectively not make it correctly. Hearing Japanese voice actors is one thing, but when you see a really Japanese guy introduce himself in the middle of London as "Jonathan Joestar" it's borderline nonsensical.

Also the Phantom Blood movie would never happen again methinks. Junichi Hayama had already monkeyed around pretty significantly with part 3, his directing of Phantom Blood just immediately stopped his official work on JoJo as a property.

I'm glad Danganronpa ended on a happy note, even if
Kirigiri's revival was expected. I would've been okay with her staying dead while the DR2 cast came back.

Kuromukuro is done. Nice to see something, even if it isn't remotely ambitious, manage to stick the landing. Like, I see a bunch of mecha anime that try to be game changers or the next big fad only to fall flat, so one that just does a good job is a welcome surprise.

Just tuned in on this week's Jojo. Knowing the source material, I wonder if the second part is going to have to share an episode with the next Stand user.

The next episode is Highway Go Go Star part 1 so that seems to be the case.
