Is Orient any good? I enjoyed Magi up to a certain point but then it just got overly convoluted and it feels like it was just rushed at full speed towards a conclusion.

Winter season's looking pretty boring, what are you gonna watch next year?

Yeah, winter looks pretty dull, but the Fruits Basket: Prelude movie will be out, so there's that. I may check out Spy x Family that spring, but I'm not sure since I typically don't care for modern shows these days.

I read the few manga chapters of Bisco when they were thrown onto one on of the scan sites I use.
The anime trailer looks a bit more entertaining than what I read.

Could be that the trailer cherrypicked scenes, but then again since its a light novel adaptions can afford more interpretation.

Let's see what we have... How the fuck does Arifureta have a second season, wasn't it panned because it looked godaweful?

Anyways yeah it looks bad, really fucking bad. LNs are universally bad, Manga tends to be better but not by a lot and the few originals don'e look appealing. This is the only show that I can relate to:

The first season was kind of sabotaged. Apparently they wanted CG and fucked it up, so as long as they don't stick with that it'll be fine.

Honestly, I can't find myself watching new anime these days, except for those I already knew or like (example being Getter Arc or Uma Musume S2). Maybe its because I have no time, or my taste has become jaded, but there's just something that I feel...missing from the experience of watching anime these days compared to 10 years ago. Maybe I'm just getting old
(Or maybe I'm just watching too much of VTuber these days)
Watching all of the Getter Robo anime that wasn't made by Toei now that I've read the manga. Is the Arc anime any good?
The animations is...bad, to say the least. But you can't deny there's tons of passions of love to Getter saga in the anime. I won't spoile you, but there's lots of fanservice in the anime, and I think the ending is a fitting conclusion to Getter saga as a whole

Just finished my rewatch of Ghost In The Shell: Stsnd Alone Complex season 1. Realized about halfway through that I had already done this exact same thing only a year or two ago and totally forgot I had binged it. Anyways, it still holds up really well if not better than I remember considering the current state of political affairs. I only remember maybe one or two times in this revisit that I kind of rolled my eyes at some dialog, though it was the dub so make of that as you will. Personally I find it to be one of Steve Blums less stellar performances, which by his standards is still great, though certainly not what I’ve come to expect of him.

Takagi-san season 3 - I'm concerned it'll be more of the same and keep the good stuff for the film, but I like the characters.
Princess Connect! Re:Dive season 2 - If it keeps up the same silliness the first season had, it'll be just as enjoyable.
Love of Kill - Assassins in love and the autistic main character's awkward attempts at flirting.
Fantasy Bishoujo Juniku Ojisan to - Funny premise, but not looking towards the troon discourse this show will have.
Saiyuuki Reload: Zeroin - Saiyuki is still popular enough to get adaptations? Nice.
On Air Dekinai! - How working for television can be funny, shitty and stressful.
Atasha Kawajiri Kodama Da yo: Dangerous Lifehacker no Tadareta Seikatsu - A girl after my own heart. She loves getting drunk and eating shitty food. Is this a grown up Umaru?
I’m still watching Strike The Blood as if it’s still 2015.

It's been 5 years since Discotek released the first season. They didn't include the OVAs for it as well. What a shame.

Also planning on watching Takagi San. Much as I like the manga, the anime feels a bit more structured and had little bits of character development throughout. Particularly in the first season.

I also watched the first season for the first time some months ago and it was great, how is the second season? Watched the first couple of episodes but it felt like retreading the same grounds.

The second season, at least as much as I can recall is pretty solid but really not as great as season one. I’ve rewatched a few season 2 episodes so far and while it’s good it’s off somehow I guess

Random question for you all, do any of you still watch anime using a TV or do you manly use a computer.

Question mainly popped up because I asked my brother a few days ago why the hell he got a CR membership when we both know serval ways to get that shit for free, and his response was he kinda hates watching anime on a monitor and he's willing to fork over the minimum amount if he can watch it on a tv and couch.
I am really tempted to get him a chromecast or something for christmas but I don't know if his brick of a laptop can even work with one in the first place (plus I already got something he wanted and its a somewhat unwritten rule for our family to only get one gift per person).

I do it on my computer with my yo-ho'd anime, and on my TV for my physically collected stuff.

But mainly, I watch anime on my phone using VLC media player.

I have everything on a Plex server so I just choose based on how lazy I feel during the day.

Yeah, Plex is great. I usually watch on my computer (if I’m backgrounding while doing other stuff on my computer), on my iPad if I’m in bed or backgrounding while doing some non-computer activity, and on my TV if I’m actually sitting down to seriously watch something, which is pretty rare.

One gripe I have with Plex is that I haven’t found a way to set default subs/audio for an entire show, so I’ll have to go manually switch to the right subtitle track whenever a new episode starts (it remembers afterwards though).
