Man, I really am one of the only people on this site that actually likes that show it seems. Though, I totally get why you guys dislike it. Once that second half hits, the story pretty much collapses in on itself, as it was obvious that they were being rushed.Better, more engaging writing than anything in the actual show
I kinda liked it until that Thot, Fuckboy & Fat Simp storyline started. I think it was around Episode 13-16 where it made me drop the show. It's also the first time I dropped a show, I usually am a massive completionist (I wasted 70+ hours watching a show I hated, it's a Kurtzman/Orci show that isn't Star Trek).Man, I really am one of the only people on this site that actually likes that show it seems. I mean, the first 15 episodes I honestly still think are really engaging (yes, I'm serious), and are tightly woven together. But it seems like they only were able to get that far into production before being forced to do the last ones without a finished script. It's just so jarring going from what was, up to that point, efficient storytelling and well thought out plot beats, to just complete randomness and dropped threads everywhere.
That said though, the reason I still like it is because of the relationship between Hiro and Zero Two, which is pretty much the main saving grace in my eyes. Even during the sloppy last episodes, whenever it focused on them, that's when you could see what the show was trying to do. Heck, I'd argue that Zero Two's romance with Hiro is why she is still the one thing people remember from this show, as well as why she is still a fan-favorite in the anime community.
There are, after all, still fans hoping that they will make another season of the show, and to be honest, I too wouldn't mind seeing that. Because I do think the series had lots of potential, and just suffered from a rushed writing schedule.

Yeah, the latter half makes the unwise decision to focus on Mitsuru and Kokoro for a large part of it, which is not the one that many viewers wanted to see, as it simply isn't as compelling or laden with chemistry as Hiro and Zero Two's relationship.I kinda liked it until that Thot, Fuckboy & Fat Simp storyline started. Eh, it's seeing her develop into a more carefree and genuinely loving partner to Hiro that makes her, for me at least, a favorite.People like Zero Two for many reasons but you might be the minority of a wholesome reason.
People either want to jerk off to her or she's just cheap material Egirls can use to squeeze out simpbux from virgins.
(Not sure why she isn't that cute imo)
For me I am one of the few people who dropped it really early on since the show came across with really annoying sex imagery that were very in your face and not in a fun way. Also Hiro and Zero Two come across as a wish fulfillment romance for lonely beta males.Better, more engaging writing than anything in the actual show
It's ironically the Mitsuru and Kokoro relationship that better fits the whole "wish fulfillment" thing than the one between Hiro and Zero Two, at least imo.For me I am one of the few people who dropped it really early on since the show came across with really annoying sex imagery that were very in your face and not in a fun way. Pretty much. Episode 15 was the high point, and it all went down hill from there. It was basically a textbook case of having not written your last episodes completely before production was under way.I never watched it, but I was to understand the Franxx anime was popular until the last few episodes went all wackadoo.
I want to gas Franxx fags so much.
You are not wrong. The character is the epitome of full-retardo.I always found Darling in the Franxx to just be "here cosplayers get dough from dressing like this thot"

Ignore anything past the first season of ES and you'll be alright. Also, ironic since after Franxx released, everyone forgot about it, just like TLOU2, GoT S8 and the AoT finale because it collapsed under its own pretentious weight and the fact that SSSS. Gridman came out and overshadowed it because it had flair, personality and a more cohesive structure.People like Zero Two for many reasons but you might be the minority of a wholesome reason.

If i wanted to watch a good mecha with romance I'd just watch Eureka Seven. The relationship between Eureka and Renton is so vanilla it gives me diabetes. Also love watching Renton grow as a boy to a man. And you had the other relationship between Dominic and Anemone which was good as well.
>"muh popularity in Nippon!"That said, the show is still fairly popular amongst some circles, mainly in Japan.
Its not a classic, stop deluding yourself. Its dead, just move the fuck on. You're no better than a TLOU2 defender if you'll keep this faggotry up.Man, every time I discuss this series, I get more melancholy, because it reinforces, in my eyes, how much potential it still has, and that with just a few more tweaks to the script, it could've been a modern-day classic.
The raison d'etre of the show is the scene of Zero Two bouncing up and down on a bed. I only saw the first episode on youtube but it really pissed off a lot of people and Hope/Jacob Chapman went on an insane twitter rant about the show that led to talks of pegging. For me I am one of the few people who dropped it really early on since the show came across with really annoying sex imagery that were very in your face and not in a fun way. Also Hiro and Zero Two come across as a wish fulfillment romance for lonely beta males.
It's alright if you didn't like Daring in Franxx ( personally I didn't like the show either) but you really need to calm down about it. Seriously, your acting like if Zero Two killed your family.I want to gas Franxx fags so much.

I know you're screeching off your high ass since you've said this more than twice.

Older anime as usual. I genuinely couldn't care about newer stuff even if i was paid. Tokyo revengers was the relatively newest show I've seen as i wasnt that impressed.Winter season's looking pretty boring, what are you gonna watch next year?
Watching all of the Getter Robo anime that wasn't made by Toei now that I've read the manga. Is the Arc anime any good?Winter season's looking pretty boring, what are you gonna watch next year?
They should've leaned harder into that one Zorome subplot. It was easily the most interesting episode. Also fuck Ichigo, I hate her more than Zero Two.Oh hi there. You always show up whenever I try to talk about Franxx in an even slightly positive manner.
And of course it isn't a classic. I just said that with some tweaks to the script, it could've been.
Unicorn for all its faults is still among the top for me just because I found its hopeful messaging so refreshing and helped reinvigorate my love of Gundam. Definitely a 10/10 in my heart which is all the really matters in the grand scheme of things. I feel a sense of comradery with the artist for the Shield Hero manga because they are also a huge Unicorn fan whose twitter is full of fanart for BanagherXAudrey or just pictures of the unicorn gundam even after all these years.I think there's way too much Zeon wank in Unicorn (at least the ending and definitely the shitty spinoffs of it). It just makes no sense from an in-universe perspective and by the end the protagonist is annoyingly self-righteous, akin to Kira Yamato. I'll give it credit that's even if it ends in a mess, it reads like a very well-written fanfic by a Zeon fanboy.
I think the constant abuse and misuse of Newtypes throughout the history of Gundam is a good example of the folly of man and its inability to really keep from destroying itself. A lot of the protagonist groups in gundam are usually those caught in the middle that either have no choice but fight for one side as they're actively trying to kill them or has people they need to protect. Most of them don't actually give a shit about the overarching sides, they're just trying to survive along with those they care about. And yeah, these weird tankies defending Char and Neo-Zeon are bizarre, especially when one of the crucial points of Gundam is that while the Federation sucks and is corrupt and borderline evil, the other side sucks even more. But I guess it's like how these people complain about the US/some Western country but defend Xi Jinping or whoever, just the even dumber fictional version where you can't argue the atrocities are fake. To me, UC Gundam is about the folly and stupidity of the human race on a species level and a personal level. There's no heroes and few villains, mostly different sorts of victims.
Anything released by Aniplex of America is ridiculously expensive and it's honestly way cheaper to go region free and pick up the much cheaper region b releases. They wanted something like 120+ bucks for the first season of Blue exorcist and as much as I liked that show it wasn't worth paying that much over the much cheaper 38 bucks for the region b.Is that part of that extremely expensive bluray and dvd sets by Aniplex that nobody can actually afford? I recall Persona 5 similarly had a horrid price tag especially for such a mediocre adaptation.
The best episode was the flashback because it gave us adorable kid Zero Two.For me I am one of the few people who dropped it really early on since the show came across with really annoying sex imagery that were very in your face and not in a fun way. Also Hiro and Zero Two come across as a wish fulfillment romance for lonely beta males.

Non sequel wise,Winter season's looking pretty boring, what are you gonna watch next year?
I read the few manga chapters of Bisco when they were thrown onto one on of the scan sites I use.And Sabikui Bisco, I've heard good things about it and the trailer makes it seem fun.
