Probably going to have to sail the high seas to find this, but does anyone know of a good place where I can watch the old 90's dub of Sailor Moon?

I know the Viz Media dub is uncensored, higher quality, and available on Hulu, but I'm feeling nostalgic as fuck right now.

I finally took the time to check out Overlord and I loved it. I'm usually not one for the whole overpowered MC gets dropped into a game-esque world and basically runs over everyone, but in here it works. Kinda reminds me of One Punch Man in that it isn't just about the MC slapping everyone around, it's about how the world reacts to an endgame boss and his crew suddenly appearing and fucking up the balance. It also helps that Ainz isn't hyper-competent and just successfully bumbles through political situations because everyone is convinced he's playing 4D Chess in the corner while he's desperately hoping they don't notice he's actually just playing checkers.

I'll never get over the fact how happy Gilgamesh's opening sounds given how dark and gruesome the series is.

Edit:

One of the many things I like about Overlord is how one of the themes is Ainz constantly trying to live up to the hype his underlings have built around him.

Sadly i got bored of Overlord pretty quickly, there is no character development and Ainz just simply kill people to be edgy, in the last volume i read he single handedly destroy a entire nation army using a summon and the slaughter is so bad that even his allies faint and run in sheer despair, also there is no apparently endgame Ainz just want to find if there are other players but he is egged by his lackeys to dominate the world, even when he can do it right now he refuses after Shalltear was brainwashed so the thing has gotten stall, the only funny thing about it i think was the lizardman saga

It really just loses focus after Ainz gets involved with the politics of the world and having adventurers invading the base. I lost interest after it turned into the minion variety hour.

having adventurers invading the base.

That was the worse arc if you ask me because the writer pass almost all the volumen making you sympathetic of the adventurers only for Ainz and his lackeys to slaughter them in very sadistic ways for no reason other to test the defenses of the tomb of nazarick, the prince of fear was the worst part

I used to see the old DiC Sailor Moon TV dub (and bilingual Pioneer) DVDs at thrift stores fairly often but people seem to have stopped donating them because of how much they can fetch on eBay due to the DiC/Cloverway dub being essentially "lost media".

Isn't the dub extant enough that it isn't really lost?

I mean that it's "lost media" in that the old Sailor Moon TV dub is not something that's ever likely to get an official release again barring some kind of deal between Viz and DiC and Cloverway (or whichever other parties own the right to the audio).

IIRC, the old dub was purchased by Viz as part of the acquisition to the license.

However, Viz decided to do their own faithful redub as part of their deal with Toei and Naoko Takeuchi. I think they were planning to do limited releases of the old dub on DVD and Blu-Ray, but some of the master tapes were in poor condition.

Although I've read something recently about Viz releasing the old dub in Canada, so who knows?

I'm in Canada and that's the first I've heard about this, not that I've been paying too much attention to anime news lately due to going back to school.

To Overlord's credit some of the side characters charmed me like the princess and the lizardmen people who are totally cool with being vassals in literal chains. Most of the minions are one-note tropers except for super butler guy who is literally Slayer from GG voiced by Führer King Bradley (at least for the first season...rip). But looking back not much got accomplished and the pacing is glacial at best. That's a show that lives and dies on its idea.

More than vassals they actually pretty much accepted willingly because iirc Ainz offered a way to fix their food shortage, the curb stomping was just "negotiations"

I'm up to date on the Overlord LN and Ainz Ooal Gown (the organization) basically gives it's conquered people the Roman deal; you cede Ainz your right to self governance and he will defend you from agressors, improve your standard of living and build and maintain your infrastructure, only with skeleton legions instead of human ones.

Overlord needs Alex Jones

I would actually recommend to keep reading a bit more, at least for the following volume because it does deal with Ainz trying to establish actual goals now that they're officially on the road to world domination, how E-Rantel is fairing under undead rule, and the nearby nations are scrambling trying to figure out how to handle this guy now that he's actually making moves and can no longer be ignored. Also Ainz has no interest in trying to bruteforce world domination since he confirmed that there are things that can hurt him and he's not in a hurry to force their hand until he has enough info on. Plus making an immediate enemy of the entire world when they lack info is not the best idea.

Oh yeah, that part was sad. You just gotta accept in your heart that people in Nazarik are huge assholes and there will be no happy endings for those that oppose them. I'm caught up on the LN and the anime really undersells how awful Demiurge actually is.

The chains weaken you, but give you more exp in the game. Ainz is doing tests to see if the effects apply in the new world.
