So as usual when we see these SJW type shows come about, they're already hocking this 'anime' not on the strength of its possible future storyline or world, but on the fact DER BE LOTS OF WIMMINS SHITLORDS. Indeed, they spend more time talking about how ace and amazing this whole thing is going to totally be guise as a trailer than, ya know, actually showing off a trailer?

Unsurprisingly, the video got bombed to fuck and back, comments and thumbs are completely disabled.

When you spend more time in your trailer talking about staffing than your actual idea then it doesn't show much confidence in the end product at all. It just comes across as pandering and preachy.

Those character designs look like a snot-nosed 13-year-old on DeviantArt drew them after watching their first anime, Madoka Magica, for the first time and skimmed through one of those shitty "How to Draw Anime"s. How the fuck is it Neo Yokio has better aesthetics in comparison?

EDIT: Also, I'm getting some major original English manga (OEM) vibes from this back when Tokyopop scammed amateur artists into drawing manga for them. Wouldn't surprise me a bit if this practice has been adopted by Crunchyroll.

Corporate fuckery likely is involved. Crunchyroll is under the same company which also looks after and pushes brands like RoosterTeeth for TimeWarner. CR's supposed to be offering funding for new shows in Japan, but as it has an exclusive global deal with Kadokawa this seems to have fallen by the wayside. CR and VRV are likely to merge eventually as there's a surprising amount of overlap between those two platforms and I suspect this is the first real attempt at it.

I personally wonder if, because Netflix muscled in in a pretty fucking big way to the anime market this year (It's funding, or paying for 70+ animu shows of decent enough quality) that they've had to change tack and this is the end result.
 
I honestly think someone folks are overreacting a bit one this one. but then again this is the animation community so it par for the course. I think at best with will be mediocre and at worst a snooze feast. It will tried too hard to be anime without really understanding it. Mostly harp on classic tropes and pretend its revolutionary by "doing things differently." Ending up as a typical magical girl or what a western thinks it is at least. . This is were my judgement is going to end since almost nothing of substance is been released by it. I love to be proven wrong and it turn out to a be a decent show. I doubt its going to happen since they show nothing but a poster, which just the main cast marching towards adventure. snore.
 
Maybe if this and that thundercata wannabe abomination flops, maybe, producer will asociate the Calarts name with massive blunders and stop hiring snowflakes with terrible ideas

Like, ok cool, you want to make a show with tranny monochromatic potatoes, cool do it, but make it interesting, not a fucking quota-ton

Crunchyroll isn't a very good service, eveyone been saying that since its days as pirate site. and only now he is talking shit about it, when everyone else is talking shit about their new show. eager to get views eh? too bad your bad rep isn't going away. and Jesus Christ I can hear the salt in his voice when he rants about being labeled a pedo.

It's twitter, the fact they ban people like Yamakan and Metokur for speaking their mind while SJWs who quite literally threaten people with painful death get off scot-free is enough to make anyone feel for people like him in regards to how much of a shithole the site is.

Yeah, there's countless images of peole reporting a tweet that essentially states "Kill all white people, they are worthless trash" and get a "This tweet does not violate our terms of service" message in return.
