Anyone been watching CardCaptor Sakura: Clear Card? I was a bit surprised that we've moved on 15 years but the characters have not.

As much as it might've generified it a little. I'd have loved to have seen a 25 year old Sakura getting embarassed by the still cutesy costumes being made by Tomoyo for her.

Ho Hum.

Hoeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. In other news, I've been reading Delicious in Dungeon aka Dungeon Meshi. It's definitely a good read, especially if you are a fan of tabletop games. Other than that, I have Fate/Zero, Berserk, the 1960s Batmanga, and much more to read.
 
So this has been all over the internet as of late, because Japan and their uh....quirks.


It's from an anime called Overlord II (which apparently is a video game). As far as I can assume, it came around as an idea by idiots that thought "Oh boy .hack was really great, let's ruin it" and second episode in we got lizards fucking.

And yes, I do mean lizard fucking.

IMO, besides being up-to-date, the #1 reason to read the manga is because of the cover stories, they foreshadow so much, just off the top of my head:
  • Sabo's return.
  • Jinbe presenting Big Mom with a ponyglyph.
  • Buggy's return in Loguetown (adapted in anime).
  • Diary of Coby-Meppo (Garp's 1st appearance, also adapted in anime)
  • Hatchin's return in Sabaody arc.
  • Crocodile & Mr. 1's appearance in Impel Down.
..etc.

In addition, they periodically provide updates on the friends & foes that Luffy and Co. left behind, several characters have gotten updates both pre and post-timeskip:
  • Bon-Clay.
  • Magellan and Hannyabal.
  • Other Impel Down staff like Saldeath, Sadi-chan..etc.
  • The Impel Down Jailer Beasts.
  • Ippon-Matsu
  • Enel (He gets a full cover arc post-Skypeia)
  • CP9
  • The Baratie crew
  • Rayleigh
  • The entire Straw-Hat Fleet (The cover you attached is part of that series)
  • Usopp Pirates
  • Franky Family
...etc.

Although that was an awesome chapter!

  • So Smoothie can grow to near-giant size? Interesting..
  • The entire Big Mom fleet assembling to deal with half the Strawhats is an amazing moment! Really makes you respect the SHs as a crew, especially given that this is the seemingly "lesser" half of the crew, fighting-wise (with the exception of Sanji).
  • Speaking of Sanji, I have a feeling he will pull off another Mr. Prince moment, because I don't see him or the other Strawhats beating over 34 of Big Mom's sons and daughters. And we know Luffy will be completely drained after his fight with Katakuri.
  • I really want to see what happens once Big Mom eats the cake, I have a feeling we're in for a swerve!
  • Luffy being able to see the future and avoid some of Katakuri's attacks was very fulfilling to watch.
  • Speaking of Katakuri, did he just foresee his own defeat? He seemed almost resigned in that last panel.
  • Gear Forth: Snakeman!!!!!!! :heart-full::heart-full::heart-full:
 
So uh, I found and am watching this Chinese movie called One Hundred Thousand Bad Jokes. Only like a few minutes in right now, but this part happened that I just have to share 'cause it's the most realistic thing about this... strange movie about ranting superpowers and a chicken that has the ability to control time travel--of fantasy books/alternative universes? (This is weird regardless, they just paired up Snow White and Pinocchio for the lulz.)

That show really can only get creepier at that point if I remember correctly. There was a period where it got a little less bad towards the end though.
I've got to say though, I'm really surprised that they didn't just start ERPing in that anime like the autists they are.
