Read hatchisaku recently the plot seems fucky but from what ive read is ao possessed given the whole implication of him eating someones heart out.

Most of them died without killing a single one of their onscreen opponents, and they were mostly killed off by Yhwach himself or by other Sternritter, so it wasn't even like they lost to the Shinigami.
Following died to their Quincy opponents:

Kensei
Rose
Rangiku
Toshiro
Nemu
Komamura (sort of)
Yachiru (sort of)
The entirety of the Zero Squad (at the time they were not known to be immortal)
Ukitake

At the time, these deaths were permanent. There was no way to reverse them. Some of them were revived off screen in the last chapter. Stakes did exist.

WHICH IS THE PROBLEM. They should have mattered. The Sternritter ended up accomplishing nothing in the end besides dragging this story out a few more years. Seriously, the story could have ended with Ichigo losing his powers and nothing of consequence would have changed.
The ones that mattered did. The Schutzstaffel, Haschwalth, and Ywach did matter. I will argue no, it shouldn't have ended. The Fullbring Arc started with Ichigo realistically being frustrated at his lack of his powers. It's completely in character for him to have this reaction. He wasn't satisfied with life this way anymore. Ending it with him regaining his powers, and choosing to stand by the Soul Society and defend it, is a better choice.

>DanDaDan has globalist lizard alien invasion (they actually call them "globalists" in the original Japanese raws).

>Latest chapter of One Piece just had a revelation that shows that the World Government is literally a Satanic New World Order run by Jewish-looking elites, who serve one mysterious false god-king. With the latest chapter showing one of the members looking like a rabbi wearing a Kufi, has dreadlocks, & has a Spanish name, who just emerges from a pentagram, immediately kills cattle goyim, is literally called Saturn, & manifests as an eldritch spider.

I feel like Shonen Jump is trying to tell us something about (((them))).

Oh boy I wonder if any western otaku will put 2 and 2 together re: One Piece and try to cancel Oda. I know people who are big into One Piece who would absolutely run to Xitter to oof yikes post if they got it

Toshiro Rose and Kensei and Rangiku didn't die (for Hitsugaya, this was confirmed almost immediately, and oh did I so want that little twerp to bite it, while Kubo played around with faking out killing the others only to not commit to it), and all of them are shown alive and well at the end of the manga. Yachiru and Komamura technically aren't dead, not that either of them were major characters. The Zero Squad were jobbers with no backstory that nobody gave a fuck about and got their asses kicked almost immediately. Ukitake was sickly and at death's door for long while before they killed him off, so him dying was expected. He also didn't die in combat to any Sternritter. Nemu was a satellite character to Mayuri, a character who also didn't die (and also another character who I so wanted to bite the dust), and she basically had no personality or relevance outside of her usage to her captain (who also took her brain, so who knows if she stays dead).

No, stakes did not exist. Nobody of any real importance died. You even admitted that most of the characters you pointed out were alive and well by the time the series ended. After Byakuya escaped death, it was clear that Kubo would never commit to killing off any major characters.

The ones that mattered did. The Schutzstaffel, Haschwalth, and Ywach did matter.
And they all turned out to be jobbers that got killed in stupid anticlimatic fights and failed to kill any of their opponents during the final invasion, outside of killing other Sternritter and the Zero Squad, who were also jobbers. Next.

The Fullbringer Arc was a massive waste of fucking time and even most Bleach fans I know agree with that. The series was running out of steam and everybody knew it. That's why its sales dropped off a cliff after Aizen was defeated. It had nothing to carry it forward and just tried to meander its way to the finish. The Thousand Year Blood War Arc started off strong, then fell flat on its face with the Byakuya death fakeout and never recovered. I've never seen an story that made me feel like it was moving too fast (because all the fights came and went with most of the Sternritter never getting a proper introduction before they got iced) and yet too slow (because nothing of any consequence was happening) at the same time, but somehow, Bleach actually managed to accomplish that.

Twittering Birds Never Fly is....actually a decent manga??! I was surprised. The characters are very well written and designed and it has an edge to it. Glad to see they're all adults and they're all voiced by men in the films, thank fuck.

Making my way through Princess Jellyfish manga and its very fun. The crossdresser actually being unlike every crossdressing degenerate irl is clever. (i.e. he has very specific justified reasons for doing so plus he's straight)

I got the Gunbuster series bluray. Has anyone seen it? I know the singer of the opening is very infamous in Japan, Noriko Sakai. She was a successful idol who got into a bad marriage (think Pam and Tommy but more proper) and was apparently helping to smuggle drugs.

Gunbuster and Diebuster are fucking awesome. I've been meaning to pick up the Discotek Blu-Ray release of the series as it has a ton of extra neat shit they added, but now that Right-Stuf is going down/has gone down, I know I'm not getting a good deal on that anymore.

Yeah, he would NEVER stay dead. The largest and most vocal set of Japanese shonen fans always latch onto that character type in every anime and you are not allowed touch a hair on their heads, see the response to Gojo from Jujutsu Kaisen as the most recent example of the consequences of breaking this iron law. At best you can give them a heroic victory that gets them killed like Itachi in Naruto but anything less than that isn't allowed.

I always thought that Goblin Slayer would be far cooler if they actually killed the character and let the Cleric inherit the title.
A interesting idea definitely, but not this season. They got plenty of arcs to go thru first lol. Also GS is looking great despite the studio change. They got rid of the shitty CGI models, which I like.

Also Spy X Family is starting with the butt bullet chapter and it's hilarious

Actually tho, well, she'd probably end up protecting you but that's not the point. I'm just happy that the quality hasn't dipped so far. Both in the manga and anime. They're even selling 1-4 box sets of the manga for I guess Christmas at barns and noble now. Its gone wild, and it's nuts to me how a manga sub 100 chapters can be this viral.

Rarely do I ever watch the first episode of a brand new anime series that I’ve waiting with baited breath to watch after catching up to the manga for all these three years, but tomorrow night, I’ll be making an exception.

The 100 Girlfriends Who Really, Really, Really, Really, Really Love You is scheduled to come on tomorrow at 10:30 p.m., and I‘m breaking this rule of waiting for all the episodes to release so I can watch it in full. If this one ends up being great, I’ll be a happy camper.

Bullshit there were any stakes. Nobody of any real consequence died except Yamamoto and Uohana (who died in the stupidest manner possible). After Byakuya survived, any chance for there being any real dramatic stakes went completely out the window, and the final arc just became another Bleach arc.

Can't quote your other post, but you forgot to mention the fact that Kubo thought it would be a good idea to write a character that can make anything he imagines a reality (that's even, leaving out the detail that his design is a rehash of Yukio). What's even more baffling is that a giant axe just split him in half.

I feel like Shonen Jump is trying to tell us something about (((them))).

"There once was a man named Gold Roger, who was King of the Pirates He had fame, power, and wealth beyond your wildest dreams Before they hung him from the gallows, these were the final words he said: "My fortune is yours for the taking, but you'll have to find it first
I left everything I own in One Piece..." Ever since, pirates from all over the world set sail for the Grand Line, searching for One Piece;

The treasure that would make their dreams come true!

YO!
Ya-yo, ya-yo!..."

This might be a mistake but genuine question, is there anything redeeming about the original Dragon Ball if you didn't grow up with it?
I think the only bit of DB I've read/watched was the manga up to the first budokai tournament on a pirate site before it got 404d years ago, a bit of kai the used to air on Saturday mornings, and some of the recent movies.
