Can someone explain to me how Doug 'burned his bridges' when he quit his job?

I think so. He certainly got the attention of some media outlets with his stunt though as whenever they do one of those 'Best ways to quit your job' he inevitably appears.

Didn't Doug work at a car plant or something involving heavy machinery though? Kinda dangerous distracting people like this if so.

In his defense, given the demeanor of the people around him in that building, his personality seemed to be completely incompatible with that type of job so good on him for leaving. As dumb as it sounds, as a character actor he's better suited to be employed as an entertainer or a public speaker or something instead of assembling cars in a factory where everyone struggles to just get through one more day.

From the look of things, I think he did his stunt in a break room/cafeteria area rather then the actual workzone.

That's not really a defense or much of an excuse; he could've just quietly quit that gig if he didn't like the job. Then he'd only have issues with a resume gap on his hands, which he can at least fill by using his gig at CA. This act makes it a lot harder for him to find a job.

He was the janitor, even said so when he appeared on 20/20 so he wasn't handling dangerous machinery at a job that required constant attention.

Oh I wasn't defending the manner in which he left that job. Character act or not, there's a professional way to end any business relationship. That was not it.
 
I watched one of this guy's videos about his review on a Garfield cartoon, a little spergy but ok. I tried watching this one tonight:



He is trying SO HARD to be like every other guy on youtube. He has the audacity to criticize Amy P. -- who has more talent than he does in his ripped 1980s jeans.
 
The few time I visit Channel awesome now the more sad and desperate all it seem, with the new nostalgia critic video being a good example being called "Did Tom and Jerry Kill themselves?". The answer being simple: Yes in one cartoon they did it doesn't at all matter, it could have been said in 30 seconds did not at all need a whole video, but the title is just such click bait that it just screams of desperation.
 
Not to mention their recent exodus of the better reviewers. Sure, the A-list guys are still there but the B-list feels very empty now. I find it funny how this all happened after they moved to a new site (which sucks. I have to go trough all of Brad's videos to find DVR-Hell) and after a big talent search (which yielded a bunch of C-listers).
 
I can't be bothered with any of the new people there, they all seem to be following the same template of the nostalgia critic and co. or any of the guys I used to watch, there only one or two people I can actually stand to watch on channel awesome now, and even then it just easier for me to follow them on youtube.

I actually recommend Shark Movies. It's stupid, but entertaining enough.
 
I want to know if Linkara's viewership actually went down after his freaky smut collection was found, or just the unraveling of CA in general.

Linkara's fan base may have dropped off a bit, but in general, his fanbase is saying they don't care, whatever gets him off is his own business.

As for the unraveling of CA, the fanbase just insults Mike all the time now.
