And if I may be honest? Every fan made "better version" of something I've ever seen is worse than the original. Yes, even for the SW Prequels.

That's not really the fault of the fan editor though; the footage itself is terrible and can't be salvaged no matter what way you cut it. You can't change it, its stylistically designed to be that way, but you can diminish the effects of it.And if I may be honest? Nostalgia Critic really just is Demo Reel 2.0 now. He's not even trying to hide it.
Same here. I honestly want to see what changes (no matter how asinine they may be) he'd make. Like would The Emperor be more transparent and less mysterious?Where did he offer his changes to the Star Wars movies? I want to see what he considers an improvement.
Doug always does. Remember the whole "Retirement of the NC" shit?Doug once said he wouldn't touch Srar Wars Episode 1 because there was another video that was a much better deconstructing of it. Has Doug gone back on his statement?
In his defense (I guess), he did say he wouldn't do an NC review of it. He didn't write off a Disneycember vlog.Doug once said he wouldn't touch Srar Wars Episode 1 because there was another video that was a much better deconstructing of it. Has Doug gone back on his statement?
Search the Channel Awesome site or YouTube for his DisneyCember review of Return of the Jedi.Where did he offer his changes to the Star Wars movies? I want to see what he considers an improvement.

Well I saw it, and honestly. His idea's not too terrible. Jabba felt wasted.

If you're gonna use time travel and recasting to save the pictures, you should cast Jackie Gleason as kid Anikin, and Heath Ledger as big Anikin. My own "edit" would probably require me to travel back through time or somehow get the actors to shoot new footage and replace Jake Lloyd with Dakota Fanning with a short haircut.
...blockbusters are specifically written to cater to a broad audience during the summer months, are supposed to have huge spectacle, they are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not "The English Patient."
...It's like he wants to seem smart for having a dissenting opinion. And I think Doug should acknowledge his weaknesses--he's great at writing rants, but he sucks at doing a full on story and comedy.
And that's why I don't like the mentality of most critics to begin with, they all think they can do better when they can't...Even I know what makes terrible art, yet I produce it (hence why I rarely post any of my own works).
Most internet reviewers are the same. You can criticize the thing you're reviewing, but be damn well prepared to have everyone else say you or your media suck.
Let's say for the sake of argument that they somehow managed to get that chance to make a professional movie with all the workings. I think that if that happened, they'd be at a loss.
I'd probably enjoy watching that more than I would than any of TGWTG's attempts at filmmaking. And say what you want about AVGN's film, at least he's got some knowledge as to how it works.https://youtube.com/watch?v=Pi3_OGnROMoI admit, I laffo'd.
