It never amazes me how when this guy got arrested the first time, a Christian pastor went out of his way to play defense for him, only for Asshole here to try and slander him for being a pedophile. Amos is a snake.

That said I doubt they're going to do anything to him and I find it very unlikely that they'll cane or abuse him at all. Not because he doesn't deserve it but because the government knows he's high profile enough to have a ton of eyes on him and already got asylum in the US due to claims of persecution. If they abuse him they know he'll scream to amnesty international and every other human rights group in ten seconds flat and probably make a point of trying to cause an international incident to embarass both sinagpore and the US, by claiming the US knew he would be abused and deported him anyway, leading to some kind of civil rights violation and probably pointing to the EU and incidents like that guy that the UK refused to deport despite actually raping some teen girl cause it supposedly violated his right to a family life and would put him at risk. With trump in office groups like amnesty international would love to have something to start shit about and blame his administration for and would be able to get a jab at singapore in the process

So I find it more likely the government will be as quiet about it as possible and make a point of not doing shit to him

I have extended family in Singapore, their prison system makes Turkey's infamous one look like a Club Med vacation. They still execute people caught drug trafficking. They'll even cane you for simple grifting and scamming too. Sex offenders are still severely punished, and pedos might just have an unfortunate "accident"
This dude's life is over doesn't matter who he is.

From the sound of things his biggest crime is being a national embarrassment. I imagine the punishment for that is severe in Asia.
